How to label and unlabel points on scatterplot with mouse pointer
Dear all,
How can I label/unlabel points on scatterplot with mouse pointer. As the
mouse approches near to point, it should label the closest point, then
unlabel when it moves away.
How can I do in R? I be very thankful.
Thanks and Regards,

Strange column shifting with read.table
...rs as if R has added a column for me with id numbers for each
row. That would be fine, except that R SHIFTS ALL MY COLUMN LABELS OVER
ONE. That causes several problems:
1) The header names are now wrong for each column
2) My last column has no label
3) The SVM complains about the unlabeled column
Would someone please help me sort this out.
Thanks!

Labelling /etc/resolv.conf (rh#1089100)
...is enabled (which is by default).
So far all the ideas I found (to fix the label of /etc/resolv.conf when
--selinux-relabel is asked) were:
1) get the security.selinux xattr before (a), and restore it after (d).
This seems to not have worked at all, at least for me: the read xattr
is "unlabeled", which SELinux obviously refuses later; hence I
discarded it
2) closing the guestfs handle, open a new one with the network disabled
and do the relabel.
This works for me, but has the drawback to slow the process if the
relabel is asked and the network is enabled, as closing+open...

Logarithmic axis
Hi there,
I guess this must be a standard issue, but I'm starting to go crazy with it. I
simply want a plot with the x axis being logarithmic, having labels 1, 10,
100..., and ten unlabelled ticks between each of them - just as they
introduce logarithmic axis at school. I've played around a bit with log="x",
xlog=T (where exactly is the difference here?), xaxp, and xaxt

Indexed FLAC file?
...table hard
drive (to plug in to car USB, carry with when I'm at my office, etc).
All but a few dozen files are part of an album, and not a single audio
file. This translates to an insane amount of files stored on my hard
drive. I am very strict about how I label and file my media (I loathe
unlabeled audio tracks), but even so it is very tedious at times to
navigate this file structure, and takes a long time to load in my car. I
have seen other file formats (specifically one proprietary audio book
format) that supported indexing, and think it would be a great feature
to add to FLAC. Example...

Histogram with uneven bins
...0, 1-2, 3-5,
6-10, 10-20, >20) but I would like the resulting bars to be the same width (
i.e., a bar's width would not be proportional to its corresponding bin
size).
Also, the x and y axes of my histograms frequently (almost always, actually)
extend beyond the axis labels (i.e., there are unlabeled bars). I would like
to label each bar exactly with the range of values that corresponds to it (
i.e., print a "0" underneath the 0 bin, print "1-2) underneath the 1-2 bin,
etc.
I'd appreciate any help you might be able to provide, thanks!

Hi Sir
We use the function mpg() for ticks on axes. If we define more number of
ticks then each tick is not labeled. How to label each tick on axes?

Lattice: don't draw unlabled tick marks
If I only want axis labels on the left and bottom I can set
alternating=F like in the following example:
Depth <- equal.count(quakes$depth, number=8, overlap=.1)
xyplot(lat ~ long | Depth, data = quakes, scales=list(alternating=F)
I also would like to get rid of the unlabeled tick marks (top and
right). How can I do that?

trouble isntallint 5.2 in virtualbox
Hi!
I'm using Virtualbox 3.08, have several other VMs in it, but cannot
boot the Centos 5.4 (i386) DVD far enough to even reach Anaconda...
I've tried all the various virtualbox and boot options I can think of and
it always sticks in the same place:
NetLabel: unlabeled traffic allowed by default
NET: Registered protocol family 2
and there it hangs. I've left it for several minutes.
I also tried the iso image of 5.3 that I still have. same thing.
FWIW, Fedora 12 beta installs fine, no trouble at all.
Suggestions, please?
