Not Able to Configure Nagios Server 4.3.4 in Centos 7
Hi Team, I was trying to install the Nagios server in Centos 7. I had downloaded and unzipped the Nagios server and it's plugins file. As per the installation instructions I ran the commands in the concerned folders of ./configure , make , make install for both the core and the Nagios plugins. I am not able to figure out the issue behind that it is not working It did got installed using

Growing file
Hello, What would be the expected behaviour of rsync, synchronizing a file that is changing in size. If I have a file ( say 100G ) that is being gzipped, and I start an rsync of that file system to a remote location, would rsync just send the data of that gzip file that exists on disk at that point in time, or would it keep looping seeing that the file is changing. Thanks, Sameer

timeout issue
Hi, I have 2 linux machines on a Gig network. What would be the reason for getting a timeout error. We have --timeout=600 in the command. The version of rsync is 2.6.2. There are no evident network problems otherwise. The command used is rsync -a --delete --timeout=600 --stats --rsh="ssh -p 22" /localdata/ server:/remotedata/ io timeout after 600 seconds - exiting rsync error:

rsync and large files
Hello, I have a few files of the order of 50G, that get synchronized to a remote server over ssh. These files have binary data and the change before the next time they are synchronized over. My question is, I am observing that the data being sent over is almost equal to the size of the file. Would an insertion of a few blocks in a binary file, move the alignment of the entire file and

--remove-sent-files to remove "synced" files
I was looking through the documentation on -remove-sent-files and it seems it will only remove files actually sent across the connection. Am I correct in assuming this and is there any patch/method for removing synced files from the source regardless of whether they were necessary to transfer over or not? Thanks, Matt Breedlove -------------- next part -------------- HTML

list_add corruption problem
Howdy, I've got a CentOS 7 VM that occasionally becomes unresponsive. There's a "list_add corruption" entry in /var/log/messages, included below. This is on VMware. We have lots of other VMs which are running just fine. Only a few are CentOS 7 VMs, though, so I can't rule out some kind of environment issue. It's up-to-date on OS patches, and running kernel
