About Unicorn Rack handler
Hi,
A couple days ago, I was trying to run Unicorn for Ramaze,
and found that `Unicorn.run'' didn''t share the same interface
with other Rack handlers, i.e. `options[:Host]'' and `options[:Port]''
Because of this, I can''t just use:
Rack::Handler.register(''unicorn'', ''Unicorn'')
And invoke this:

Hi
Due to putting a DVD in my Virtual Machine Host Computer which then filled the logs with errors and subsequently filled the drive crashing all vms.
Luckily I had a backup of the DC image which I restored and some machines just worked and some can?t find KDC

So, to all intents and purposes, your domain was dead.

Fwd: Issue starting unicorn with non-ActiveRecord Rails app
Hi,
I''m trying to use unicorn in a test deployment of a Rails app that
uses Mongoid, so Activerecord isn''t included in the app. When I start
unicorn through Capistrano though, the stderr log fills up endlessly
with identical ActiveRecord-related errors:

Unicorn / Daemontools
Hi -
I tried to get Daemontools and Unicorn working together a while back -
there are issues on USR2 restart because of the pid
change - I''m hoping someone in the community will have some
understanding of this issue
I documented my experience and eventual defeat here :

Unicorn + RUnit Rails Not Killing Old Master
Hi,
I''m deploying Unicorn on a Rails application with RUnit. Technically
I''m using Chef''s deployment tools, if any of you are familiar with it
(https://github.com/opscode-cookbooks/application_ruby) but to be clear
they aren''t doing anything magical, so this is purely an issue with
RUnit and Unicorn.
The TL;DR of the following post, which has lots of

Unicorn doesn't play nice with Capistrano deployment?
I am having issues when using unicorn with a Capistrano deployment.
>From what I have been able to understand Capistrano uses a scheme in
wich every release is deployed inside the releases directory under a
unique name and if the transaction was successful, creates a symlink
named current that will point to that release.
So I end up with a deployment directory such as:

after_fork - ActiveRecord::AdapterNotSpecified
Hi all,
I''m fighting with the after_fork hook and my sinatra application. The Sinatra app is using active_record,
In my unciron.rb file I''m using
preload_app true
after_fork do |server, worker|
? defined?(ActiveRecord::Base) and
??? ActiveRecord::Base.establish_connection
End
but I always get the error:

Handling closed clients
We have a service that clients use to upload files. We have a couple of clients that are on slow links and so their upload times out. We get errors in the logs that I''d like to get rid of.
I was hoping that the recent commit 24b9f66dcdda44378b4053645333ce9ce336b413 would help us, but it does not. After digging in a bit, I have some ideas about why and a patch I''d like comments

[PATCH] rework master-to-worker signaling to use a pipe
Signaling using normal kill(2) is preserved, but the master now
prefers to signal workers using a pipe rather than kill(2).
Non-graceful signals (:TERM/:KILL) are still sent using kill(2),
as they ask for immediate shutdown.
This change is necessary to avoid triggering the ubf (unblocking
function) for rb_thread_call_without_gvl (and similar) functions
extensions. Most notably, this fixes

Silent Failure when starting Unicorn on Heroku
Switched my RoR (3.1.3, 1.9.2) app from Thin to Unicorn (4.6.2). It ran
fine in development
(Mac OSX), but when deploying to production on Heroku, it fails silently
(no backtrace, no error detail). Log looks like:

Ubuntu upstart
I cannot find any good example of a unicorn upstart task that works
properly for the following:
* Upstart will restart if unicorn dies
* Can send USR2 signal to unicorn to do a no downtime deploys
* Able to stop upstart job, even after a deploy
I have tried the following:
expect fork
respawn
setuid www-data
chdir /var/www/app/current
exec bundle exec unicorn_rails -E production -c

403 Forbidden from nginx when unicorn started in debug mode
I am using nginx with unicorn as a reverse proxy.
Has been fantastic, but needed to look through some code
for first time.
Using ruby 1.9.3p194 with rails 3.2.9, development mode with ssl enabled,
I start unicorn with -d
...and it does not get served up by nginx.
Any ideas, or more information needed?
Thanks!

A barrage of unexplained timeouts
...master. After re-spawning, the workers would serve a handful of requests and then eventually be killed again.
During this time, our servers (Web, PG DB, and redis) were not under load and IO was normal. After the last monit notification at 8:30, everything went back to normal. I understand why unicorns would timeout if they were waiting (>120 secs) on IO, but there aren''t any orphaned requests in the rails log. For each request line, there''s a corresponding completion line. No long running queries to blame on PG, either.
I know we''re probably due for an upgrade, b...
