question about unhide / transitory process
Hello, running unhide ( unhide-20130526-1.el7.x86_64 ) on CentOS 7 i get sometimes messages like: Found HIDDEN PID: 30784 Cmdline: "<none>" Executable: "<no link>" "<none> ... maybe a transitory process" On a second unhide run immediately after it, the process seems to have vanished. Also, i do not see anything about it in /proc, and rkhunter

Hiding and unhiding actions.
I''m using the UserEngine, so I have a UserController that responds to /user/action. I subclassed it with an Admin::UserEngine. I''d like to have some actions available in the subclass and *not* in the superclass. If all the code was mine this would not be a problem, of course. However , I''d like not to change their code. I had a look at hide_action, but there

--partial does not "unhide" the files
I can't say I have any idea why rsync would just skip that step and I can't duplicate it myself. Your only recourse might be to use --inplace on that system. --partial does not "unhide" the files
I think --partial might be a red herring here. It only applies to what happens when rsync is aborted in the middle of a file. What happens without -P? Also, it is worth trying with --inplace. Then I ran "syslinux d:" from a Win98SE DOS-box to (try to) initialize the partition's boot record. And added this from a

wine-20050725 : warcraft 3 cd issue
Hi all, I just installed wine-20050725 from source, and have a problem with warcraft 3 (patch v1.15). The install runs fine (when mounting the cdrom without the unhide option), but the game doesn't. Launchin the game with : "wine Warcraft\ III.exe -opengl" results in a popup message saying "no disc inserted" whereas the disc is actually in the CDROM drive. I saw a post on

Installation issue?
Greetings from a noob. I am having a little difficulty trying out Wine-20050111 on a fully updated athlon fedora core 2 system and hope other wine users can help. Review of the wine-users.pdf file included in the wine rpm and scanning some of the wine-users mailing list archives have not pointed to any solutions. I am trying to install Turbotax from a Turbtax distribution CD. (The only

Never used wine
I read (some) docs got my CD set to r: with unhide set and ran setup on a couple of CD's and it went well... Wacko? If there is a file that errors are written to I could check that. But the screens kind of went in to a "Vulcan mind meld" so it was hard to tell what was going on. But It didn't crash the machine, I'm using Fedora 2. Is there an installer I should be using

CentOS 6
I finally switched workstations, and am running into a lot of truly annoying details with CentOS 6, and the software with it. For one, I'm doing this by webmail, and this version of Firefox *insists* on putting what I'm typing in gray, rather than black. For another, I despise the new version of thunderbird, since it now shows the full subject, if I have what they used to call the preview

update to 5.5 small issues
...reinstallation of nvidia proprietary driver), I noticed I wasn't gettting any email. upon a little investigation, I noted that the update had replaced my custom sendmail.cf with its own. I don't recall updates to sendmail doing that previously,.... also, around that time my panels stopped unhiding, so they remained in a hidden state that I could not recover them from. logged off and on and it didn't help, in fact it was worse: no panels at all. so I did a reboot and now they seem to be working. I'll have to keep an eagle-eye on them. so far, all else seems well. Thanks to the whole...
