question about unhide / transitory process
Hello, running unhide ( unhide-20130526-1.el7.x86_64 ) on CentOS 7 i get sometimes messages like: Found HIDDEN PID: 30784 Cmdline: "<none>" Executable: "<no link>" "<none> ... maybe a transitory process" On a second unhide run immediately after it, the process seems...

Hiding and unhiding actions.
...with an Admin::UserEngine. I''d like to have some actions available in the subclass and *not* in the superclass. If all the code was mine this would not be a problem, of course. However , I''d like not to change their code. I had a look at hide_action, but there isn''t a unhide_action (since the natural solution would be to move methods directly to the subclass). Any solution? Thanks in advance. -- blog: http://www.akropolix.net/rik0/blogs | site: http://www.akropolix.net/rik0/ | forum: http://www.akropolix.net/forum/ |

--partial does not "unhide" the files
I can't say I have any idea why rsync would just skip that step and I can't duplicate it myself. Your only recourse might be to use --inplace on that system. --partial does not "unhide" the files
I think --partial might be a red herring here. It only applies to what happens when rsync is aborted in the middle of a file. What happens without -P? Also, it is worth trying with --inplace. Re: Grub to Syslinux
...so I changed the LEAF/Bering logical partition to a primary, hda4. Then I ran "syslinux d:" from a Win98SE DOS-box to (try to) initialize the partition's boot record. And added this from a DOS/Windows example to grub.conf: title LEAF/Bering via syslinux hide (hd0,0) unhide (hd0,3) makeactive rootnoverify (hd0,3) chainloader +1 But the boot failed in grub. I'm also going the path of making grub boot LEAF-Bering directly, and I seem to have that part-way to working. Paul Rogers (paul.rogers at juno.com) http://www.xprt.net/~pgrogers/ ht...

wine-20050725 : warcraft 3 cd issue
Hi all, I just installed wine-20050725 from source, and have a problem with warcraft 3 (patch v1.15). The install runs fine (when mounting the cdrom without the unhide option), but the game doesn't. Launchin the game with : "wine Warcraft\ III.exe -opengl" results in a popup message saying "no disc inserted" whereas the disc is actually in the CDROM drive. I saw a post on the application database relating the very same problem. I have foun...

Installation issue?
...yping wine at a console prompt produces the short, two or three line wine help text. Typing winecfg at a prompt produces a tabbed dialog box showing d: = /dev/cdrom. /dev/cdrom is mounted. Per the wine-users.pdf, care has been taken to see that the fstab parameters for /dev/cdrom include "unhide". However, $ wine d:\Setup $ wine d:Setup $ wine d:\Setup.exe $ wine d:Setup.exe $ wine D:Setup.exe all produce the following response. wine: cannot find 'filename' To further test the wine installation, I copied the Setup.exe file on the cd to my /home/user/ directory. MystIII-Exile
Hi everybody, I'd like to play Myst III - Exile with wine on Ubuntu 8.04 but the installation doesn't work. In fact I have the Trilogy DVD edition with Myst, Riven and Exile and I saw that Riven works well : http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10719. But my problem is a bit weird : I can't find any exe file on the DVD to install Exile !!! Riven is easy to

But the screens kind of went in to a "Vulcan mind meld" so it was hard to tell what was going on. But It didn't crash the machine, I'm using Fe...

a couple hours after the update (and requisite reboot and reinstallation of nvidia proprietary driver), I noticed I wasn't gettting any email. upon a little investigation, I noted that the update had replaced my custom sendmail.cf with its own. I don't recall updates to sendmail doing that previously,.... also, around that time my panels stopped unhiding, so they remained in a hidden
