Problem with console in Windows GUI (PR#4381)
Full_Name: Andrew Zachary
Version: 1.7.1
OS: XP Pro
Submission from: (NULL) (24.44.128.138)
The R-console window in the Windows GUI has a nice feature that lets you save
your preferences for font sizes and background and foreground colors. Unhappily,
there is no way to load these preferences back in when starting a new session.
Also, the scroll window for selecting colors is very small and

package check fail on Windows-release only?
I mistakenly left a write in "/tmp" in the rockchalk package (version
1.8.109) that I uploaded last Friday. Kurt H wrote and asked me to fix
today.
While uploading a new one, I became aware of a problem I had not seen.
The version I uploaded last Friday, 1.8.109, has OK status on all
platforms except r-release-windows-ix86+x86_64. I get OK on
oldrel-windows and also on devel-windows.

CentOS Digest, Vol 74, Issue 31
thanks for the reply, Phil
It would, were udev not inserting USB and/or eSATA drives at /dev/sdb1
and/or /dev/sdc1 and exposing the array to the udev rule intended to
handle only removable devices (at sdc or sdd). The array then mounts
unpredictably in /media/xxx-sdc1 or sdd1 - not what is wanted - depend
on how many removable devices are plugged at the time of rebooting. Of
course, a single

Trackmania Nations Issues
Good Morning!!!
I am looking for a solution for a curious Trackmania Nations Forever problem. I am using stable 1.2.2 wine version and changed to 1.3.16 too. I'm having glitches and shaders cars problems if I use a 6600GT NVIDIA cards and the newest NVIDIA-Linux-x86-260.19.44.run drivers. But If I use simple NVIDIA 5200LE model and NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.28-pkg1.run it's ok!
I tried

issues with Sweave and inclusion of graphics in a document
the problem is a little hard to explain; the .Rnw files (below)
probably do a better job, but here goes ...
Sweave doesn't like it when i size a graphical device in a code
chunk using either, e.g.:
windows(width=20, height=5)
in Windows, or, e.g.
x11(width=20, height=5)
under X, when i then plot something in said device and try to
include this graphical output in the resulting

Object graphs
Guys,
I''m designing an application currently that will ultimately be implemented
in either Rails or php5 (most likely Rails).
While I''ve coded many PHP (pre-5) applications in the past, OO support was
so weak that my OO designs were never truly divorced from the limitations
of the language, thus I never had to consider this problem.
The question is: how does Rails (and how do

Performance with Sun StorageTek 2540
Under Solaris 10 on a 4 core Sun Ultra 40 with 20GB RAM, I am setting
up a Sun StorageTek 2540 with 12 300GB 15K RPM SAS drives and
connected via load-shared 4Gbit FC links. This week I have tried many
different configurations, using firmware managed RAID, ZFS managed
RAID, and with the controller cache enabled or disabled.
My objective is to obtain the best single-file write performance.
