NT account locking out
Hi
I have Win2k servers connecting to the samba server by mapping a windows
user to unix user.
We never had any problems with thsi connectivity but for past 2 weeks we
have an erratic problem which causes the windows account to lock thus
making samba unfunctional. When I get the windows account unlocked then
samba starts functioning properly again.
I do not have a scenario to reproduce the problem and it appears once in 2
days or sometimes thrice in a day. This architecture was working for past
2 years without problems.

Windows harddisk images.
Hello all,
I've been following this project with interest, and have had great fun
implementing Isolinux within the FreeDOS cdrom distribution.
Since I'm not that an expert at Linux, I would like to know how I can
*succesfully* generate a bootable image from a partition.
Situation is like this: (640MB RAM on system)
60GB IDE harddisk,
primary partition 1 win98 500MB
extended partition

USRMGR.EXE won't add user
...uot;Access is denied"
3.0.1rc1: "Access is denied"
3.0.1rc2: "Access is denied"

/etc/passwd and pdbedit -L don't show any new user after this action.
But when the delete user script is removed/made unfunctional, the
user appears in /etc/passwd (but not in pdbedit -L).
Between tests, I removed the client from the domain, killed all connections
in SWAT, removed whole samba, reinstalled, reinitialized databases, put the
client back by pdbedit, rebooted client, ran usrmgr.exe.
