clicking and popping with capi, okay with mISDN
...mediate mode. When I did rig it up to actually make a call, the audio sounded very clear. The audio problems are when making any calls from the PBX via asterisk, mostly to a mynetfone account I've just set up. Using SIP to the same destinations is perfect. Our internet link is a lightly loaded unframed E1 (2mb symmetric) I've tried a few versions of mISDN, and a few versions of chan_misdn (now using 0.4.0-rc2). chan_capi is cm-0.6.5, asterisk is 1.2.7.1. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks James

How to fix a Blue Alarm?? Line Noise?
We are having line noise issues in our Asterisk to legacy PBX integration. All SIP calls originating from IP phones sound crystal clear. All calls that originate from the legacy PBX (Isoetec 228) and route through the Asterisk and out SIP have a lot of line noise. I believe I have it pinned down to these Blue Alarm errors that I can see on the legacy PBX side. zttool shows no alarm but when I

Description of Zaptel/DAHDI E1 alarms
Hello, I am missing any description of zaptel/DAHDI alarms. The TE200 series user manual contains only a description of LEDs states. These alarms states are visible in zttool/dahditool or in astersick CLI (zap show status) and I wonder what is the real meaning of these alarms for E1 channel. Possible alarm states (based on zaptel.h 1.2): 1. No alarms 2. Recovering from alarm 3. In loopback

non-telephony use of T400P?
Another issue to consider is T1 framing. If your application is putting bits onto the T1 at the rate of 1.544 Mbit/s then the T1 would need to be unframed. I don't believe this is an option in zaptel! If however, it is putting bits on at a rate of 1.536 Mbit/s and adding 8000 bit/s for framing then you may be able use the suggestion below. Non-PRI T1 configuration - Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 2, Issue 263
...b8zs. You have to use esf to > get > b8zs. This is not true. Line coding and framing are two different things and any type of line code can be used with any type of framing. - Line coding - AMI, B8ZS (there are others but I have forgotten them) - Framing - SF (sometimes called D4), ESF, unframed A few years back, some manufactures did design their product to only allowed SF -AMI or ESF - B8ZS. This was a manufacture design decision, not a technical restriction. While working at the local phone company, we did have a customer with some T1s as SF - B8ZS. Don Pobanz

TE110P flashing red/green when PRI connected
Hi I'm having difficulties getting up my TE110P (running as a E1) when I connect it to the PRI. If I start the server with a loopback connector everything seems fine and the led is green but when I connect it to the PRI the flashing starts .... I can't seem to find anything in the log that suggests what could be wrong .....Aug 8 11:33:00 DEBUG[1369]: Updated conferencing on 31,
