Removing "-" (Dash) from Dialed Numbers
I am trying to enable dial-by-email by using LDAPget to query an Active Directory server. I've got it retrieving the phone number fine. Unforunately, the numbers stored in active directory are either in the format: (xxx) xxx-xxxx or xxx-xxx-xxxx. Is there any way to parse characters out of the dialed phone number so that I only end up with digits (remove spaces, parenthesis and dashes)? From there, my outbound routes can take care of where...

Introducing Firefly
...d version of IAX2 (simply uses IAX2 text messages for customised part), voicemail, text messaging, online presence, ability to indicate status (available, away, NA). I believe you can connect using a standard asterisk box but you'll miss out on the extended features. The network runs on iLBC so unforunately it won't work with most IAX2 clients (unless you get * to translate) Thousands of people have used it but it's still regarded in beta, as we are still in heavy development (so expect a few bugs). It doesn't use iaxcomm as we needed our own framework to support sip, including our own ji...

Groups
I've noticed in the HOW-TO collection (for v3, unforunately..) that there is a command "net groupadd" to create group mappings for the Samba server to use when controlling users in the domain. Since my Samba is 2.2.8a, the net command doesn't exist on my system. Is there another utility to use to create NT groups (f.x. Power Users) that Samb...

Unable to use # as feature key prefix
...onference, but MeetMet has the * key bound to the (admin) menu. Thus, in order to enable features like automon and transfers even during a conference, I tried to swap * fro # in the featuremap: blindxfer => #1 disconnect => #9 atxfer => #2 parkcall => #7 automixmon => #0 Unforunately, I cannot seem to make any of the features happen, neither during a normal call, nor during a conference. I've tried with multiple phones. What could be the problem? -- martin | http://madduck.net/ | http://two.sentenc.es/ "and if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear you shout and...

Question about Prolog/Epilog Code Insertion
Hi All, When seeing the title "Prolog/Epilog Code Insertion", I'd expect something about XXXFrameLowering.cpp (particular about emitPrologue/emitEpilogue). But the document [1] is about unwind. Is it placed at the right place/section? Thanks. [1] http://llvm.org/docs/CodeGenerator.html#prolog-epilog-code-insertion Regards, chenwj -- Wei-Ren Chen (陳韋任) Homepage:

Upgrading PXE initrd.img with new kernel and drivers
Quite simply, HOW? :) I have the pxeboot initrd.img from the RH 3.0 AS CD's. We need to put a new cciss.o driver from HP into this initrd.img. Unforunately, the modules in the pxeboot initrd.img we have are 2.4.21-4 and our new driver is compiled for 2.4.21-15, so we have to upgrade everything. I downloaded the kernel-BOOT-2.4.21-15 RPM and installed that, so I have all those drivers. My question is: Can I use the 2.4.21-4 initrd.img and just repla...

ntlm authentication
...up for this. Further than this, I'd really like the cache authentication to be done transparently by the browsers. So this leaves me with either NTLM authentication, or negotiated gssapi authentication. The latter is my preferred method but seems to be out of the question at the moment (unforunately) because Internet Explorer doesn't see the kerberos tickets gotten by the MIT Kerberos for windows tickets (although Firefox - the default browser on the network does), and because there doesn't seem to be a helper program for squid that does gssapi authehntication to a non-microsof...

Asterisk in the Cloud
Hi, I was wondering if anyone is successfully running Asterisk in a cloud environment. If you could state which cloud you are using, I'd appreciate it. Error 22 on domU creation after installing 3.1 from source
Hi all, I just compiled an installed the Xen Hypervisor, Tools and a new Kernel from the 3.1 source. The dom0 is running without problem and the xm seems to work fine, too (tried xm info, xm list, xm dmesg). Unforunately on creation of a domU I always get an error using a config file and a domU image that is definitley working (at least with 3.0.4): Using config file "/etc/xen/domU1.cfg". Error: (22, ''Invalid argument'') Then log says: [2007-07-13 17:51:40 xend.XendDomainInfo 5298] DE...

Installing CentOS security updates to RHEL machines? (RHN subscription expired)
Hello, I hope my question is not annoying. I work as sysadmin at a 400 users firm and we have around 20 CentOS 4/5 servers and VMs and CentOS is awesome, thank you! However we have 4 important SAP-servers running RHEL5 and our RHN subscription has unforunately expired and buying it again is not an option right now. Installing CentOS is not an option too, because we'd have to pay for SAP-reinstall. Has anybody have been in a similar situation and figured out a good way to make "yum update" on RHEL machines to work against CentOS repositorie...

Red Hat 8 SAMBA docs esp. those for SAMBA since this a SAMBA list
Hi David, Thanks for asking. I too am an MCSE, but I don't think i have the patience, experience, or understanding to actually teach the stuff although I am fascinated by everything that is Linux. Hey Linux Community, does that feeling for Linux ever fade? Anyway, on with the story... Unforunately, I am slowly accumulating information about RHat 8.0 linux's SAMBA much too slowly. I only know of the www.samba.org site with its docs and the list that I am posting this email to. Also this link http://www-1.ibm.com/linux/links/index.shtml may be helpful to you. If anyone has any good sites...

Hello, In my integration test, I want to simulate the user cookie is set. I store an authentication token as a stored cookie. So in my test. Crash on opening mailbox
...19, and it behaves the same. The bug seems to be triggered by some mail, as I encountered it previously and fixed by removing some spam. I guess it might be malformed header of some kind. I can open the mailbox locally using mutt, but fail to do so remotely (using mutt or K-9 mail on android). Unforunately, I haven't been able to isolate the specific mail, as when I create a new mailbox, dovecot refuses to open it: [CANNOT] Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file (0.000 + 0.000 secs). I'm not really sure what's going on and will investigate further once I find some time to do so. I also...

Bug in handling fallback-override clients + patch
Hello, I noticed a bug in the fallback-override handling in icecast 2.3.3. The bug is as follows: We use icecast for distributing a continuous radio stream, let's call this stream "live", with mountpoint "/live" In our usecase we have a second audio stream, called "event". This stream is only online when there is a special event. This is on mountpoint

OT: Anyone have experience with completelydedicated.com?
Guys, I''m in the market for a reliable, trustworthy dedicated server solution. I''ve been running my own servers internally on a Speakeasy Static IP DSL connection, but recent problems with my local loop has caused me to reconsider this solution. completelydedicated.com offers a value Sempron for $59/monthly...a bit higher than I wish to go but I have no choice. cv.glm {boot}
I am try to cross validate some logistic regressions. cv.glm allows me to do this randomly but since I have data over a number of years and over a number of distince areas, I would like to cross-validate temporarly and spatially. I've already attached the temporal and spatial attributes to my data, but I'm unsure as to how to achieve this, as it seems I can't use cv.glm for this
