How to Change samba's PW from XP
I could really use a quick yes/no answer here. If answer yes a pointer to a Howto. I have a samba based file server running in workgroup mode with security = user XP User authentication is managed by a separate LDAP server. Is there a way from within XP such as command utility, anything, I could use to update the samba server's password? RIght now, it a manual excerise to update the

[LLVMdev] llvm cmake build option ((enable-experimental-targets=R600)) question
...lvm.html ) I have been unable to locate a equivalent option in the CMakeLists.txt in the base llvm-3.3 directory I have also searched the llvm cmake documentation here:- http://llvm.org/releases/3.3/docs/CMake.html to no avail. The closest I have seen is this option -DLLVM_TARGETS_TO_BUILD unfortuntely the documentation does not elaborate if these targets include "experimental-targets=R600" as per the autotools build. So in a nutshell I would be grateful for some advice on how one enables this option in a cmake build of llvm-3.(2,3,4) thanks in advance yours sinceelly luxInteg

Question about -xlaxyload option to dtrace -G
Hello, I am trying to get documentation how how this lazyloading happens when you are dealing with dtrace probes being added to user applications. In particular if it somehow avoids the overhead of registering dtrace probes when they aren''t needed, how does it know if they are needed, etc... thanks, Robert

Samba with IBM Directory Server
Hi, I can successfully run Samba (v2.2.10 or v 3.0.10) in the smbpasswd mode. However, I cannot get it to connect to the IBM LDAP server (IDS v5.2). Can someone point me to a doc or web site for this? Thanks, Andy

Netware server emulation on Linux
...Anyway, the old lab management app that I inherited has its database hosted on a Netware 3.12 server and the client app is written in Turbo Pascal including database units compiled with a specific Netware switch and if we try to run the db off the Linux server using Samba we get record lock errors. Unfortuntely, we have no confidence in re-compiling the ancient source code, expecially since the company that developed the database engine is long gone. We need access to the old data for reference and although I am going to attempt to extract it all and do some PHP stuff with it, a Google search turns up two...

expunging
...m, it seems to do something on the order of 15 stat() calls, at minimum. What are some things I can do to make this less of an expensive process? If I had a shared storage system that each machine used, this would cut down on the resource waste because I'd only need to run the query once, but unfortuntely, that isn't how these systems were designed. thanks for any ideas, tips etc. micah -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Barchart bar lengths not proportionate
When I use barchart (with default formatting options), I get bars whose lengths/heights are not proportional to their value. For example: http://drop.io/wbagm6s/asset/capture-png Many of the values in this chart are 1; however, because the blue bars extend to the left of the "0" tick mark, those bars appear to represent higher numeric values. Is there a way to make the length of the

Samba and Active Directory
Hi, I'm trying to join my Linux file server to an AD domain. I've looked at several different documents describing how to do this, but I still am not able to get everything to work correctly. I am able to join my domain, but I cannot use smbclient to connect to another file server in the domain, nor can I connect to the samba server from my desktop PC. My kerberos tickets seem to be in

replicating lists
Hi Everyone, At the moment it is not possible to replicate complex lists, but only simple ones: > rep(list(fred = 1:10), 10) # works fine > rep(list(fred = 1:10, happy = "squash"), 10) Error in rep(list(fred = 1:10, happy = "squash"), 10) : Unimplemented feature in rep There is nothing in ?rep that suggests that the latter should not work, and I think it would

Very small scores for search results
Hi Everyone, I''m using Ferret 0.10.11 with acts_as_ferret from SVN (same results with 0.10.10 and 0.10.9 though). I''m running into an odd problem where the scores of my top-ranking search results are ridiculously small - even when the query is one that should match at least one document with a decent score. To give an example, I have just the names of 5 businesses indexed

Unfortuntely, the usage of these helpers are quite broken as well. Some drivers like i915 have been smart enough to avoid accessing any kind of information from MST port structures, but others like nouveau have assumed, understandably so, that drm_dp_mst_port structures are normal and can just be accessed at an...

[PATCH v4 00/16] MST refcounting/atomic helpers cleanup
This is the series I've been working on for a while now to get all of the atomic DRM drivers in the tree to use the atomic MST helpers, and to make the atomic MST helpers actually idempotent. Turns out it's a lot more difficult to do that without also fixing how port and branch device refcounting works so that it actually makes sense, since the current upstream implementation requires a

VGA Passthru - FLR?
Hi, everyone. I''m Guilherme Suzuki (brazillian, by the way) and really interested in xen-vga-passthru. Lately, I bought a brand new Saphire HD 7950 (OC Boost) because I saw in a wiki somewhere that users have been able to passthru these VGA devices to domU (win7, win-xp and so on). But, after I installed it, I executed *lspci -vv* to check if FLR in DevCap was present (which
