exclude the unfit data from the iteration
...t warning messages like "Ran out of iterations and did not converge" or "Error in var(x, na.rm = na.rm) : missing observations in cov/cor" because in some cases one of my covariate (say, var5 or var6 or both who are binary variables) becomes all 0's! How do I exclude the unfit data (that does not fit/converge: that produces warning messages) that may be generated in any iteration, and still continue by replacing it by the next iteration data (untill it generates acceptable data that does not give any trouble like not converging)? Is there any provision in R? "sim.r...

complex barplot enquiry
...e a problem I am having trouble with. The data consists of a series of pre and post variables, in a dataframe called 'offend'. I am interested in graphically depicting the pre & post values for a factor variable called 'decision' which has 4 values : nusm, fit, unsound & unfit. An example of a pre and post variable is: pre.damage and post.damage (data below). I wanted to exclude all values = 0, and collapse the remaining values into 3 categories .e.g 1, 2-5, 6 plus. For each 'decision' group the final graph would contain the alternating pre and post values fo...

moving average and NA values
...to omit some NA values in the dataset? In the simple sample shown below it would be possible to just remove the rows with NA values. The dataset on which I want to use the moving average function with a span of 270 is a time series dataset, just removing rows would corrupt this dataset and make it unfit to plot. ...uggy, temperamental in terms of which systems it will work with, has some problems associated with saving archived streams which is important for on demand listening, and this is all off the top of my head. I've had several dozen people test it in different situations. In my view it is simply unfit for wide scale deployment. It's a shame because with the right tools, I would look at going Vorbis for at least some of our streams. On our Linux server on which we handle all our streams, we have an Icecast 2 server running. Linux users are having no problems streaming to it and it looks to m...

virt-manager vs cli
I got the impression that the virt-manager does not provide all functionality towards managing kvm machines then the virsh cli tool does (i.e. towards deleting networks). Is that correct? if so, is there any GUI that provides complete access to kvm/qemu/libvirt? thx Gunnar

...as we understand is something which normalize the loudness at content provider side, but our application takes different approach. It is designed to normalize the loudness at player side, according to the metadata embedded within the content, which could be relatively big in its size, so it will be unfit for Vorbis comment. Besides that, its concept, format are incompatible with Replaygain, and we are putting effort to add additional features to that in the future, which makes metadata size even bigger. The Player compatible with will only be the one we are developing, for now. Best regards, Taku...

Re: virt-manager vs cli
...d it, but the current state of the technology doesn't allow us to fully automate the decision process, IOW user intervention is still required in terms of configuration, so you can't just select 'yes - I want AMD SEV' + the specific settings were overall deemed very complex and thus unfit for virt-manager's target audience. If you want GUI that comes the closest in terms of exposing all libvirt features, you may want to look at oVirt, but beware that running oVirt in a single-node setup for desktop virtualization is an overkill. Then there's cockpit (a web interface manager...

testing goodness of fit of linear model
...f the basin, that is, whether erosion is as strong as rock uplift, erosion is smaller than rock uplift, or erosion is greater than rock uplift. I am thus to test 4 situations: Situation 1: a linear model is inappropriate for describing the data, the scatter is too large, and thus a linear model is unfit to explain the data. Situation 2: the linear model of the kind "y = b0 + b1 * x" is fit to describe the data, ie data points lie close to a straight line. Situation 2a: the relationship between slope and distance is significantly positive Situation 2b: the relationship between slope and...

...r signed or unsigned. It is even a compiler switch on some compilers. Changing this from "signed char" to plain "char" breaks when "char" is unsigned. Several of the changed lines introduce inconsistent indentation or spaces at the end of the line, which is somewhat unfitting for a patch whose purpose is to improve consistency. Have each of the affected #elif sections been tested on the platforms where that section is compiled? - Mark

A VorbisComment can store upto 2^64 bytes (16 exabytes). A FLAC metadata block is limited to 2^24 bytes (16 megabytes). Therefore, a VorbisComment can be orders of magnitude bigger than a FLAC metadata block. Visit: https://wiki.xiph.org/Metadata The advice to use a Vorbi...

Error from Trying to Mount Btrfs
I have the attached error from trying to mount btrfs on external hard drive. The F.S. was my primary system, then I dd''d it to an external and reinstalled Fedora. I tried to follow https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Problem_FAQ#Filesystem_can.27t_be_mounted_by_label. I used "# btrfs device scan --all-devices" before attempting to mount.   What should I do?
