...true, }, require => Package[''monit''], subscribe => File[''monit.conf''], } And it doesn''t work in 24.6. Perhaps setting the variable outside will be better. In 0.24.7, the error is a bit worse. Instead of an error, the class is unfindable. :) Gary --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Unwanted association between a function and a namespace
...can understand that lattice would be using grid without having that package loaded, but I can't understand how plyr got there. It wouldn't matter if that namespace hadn't become associated somehow with a function I have somewhere else on the search path (thereby rendering the function unfindable). My guess is that if I knew how that happened, I'd then know why plyr is loaded by namespace. However, I'm lost for ideas on how that could have happened. Suggestions as to where I should be looking greatly appreciated. Or, even if that's unknowable, how to remove the associati...

lme4 install error
...section (__DATA,__common) make: *** [lme4.so] Error 1 ERROR: compilation failed for package 'lme4' ** Removing '/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.4/Resources/library/lme4' Others have apparently also had this problem, but their error message appeared to signal a missing or unfindable Matrix header file. This does not seem to be the case here. What is likely to be the problem? This install is on a Mac OS 10.3.9. I've done R upgrades many times before; this is the first time I''ve had a problem. The full error message for lme4 can be seen at: http://www.ling.uni...

small bug
...uot;... vorbis has cut off my astounding poetry. The nerve! It's also spitting out a malformed header, which is clearly of secondary import here. as you see, the actually length written is only around 0x40., So any subsequent headers would be unfindable when reading. And reading might cause a sort of crashing behaviour for some folks. The fix is trivial: use a version of _v_writestring for the 8-bit clean input that accepts a byte-count argument. (around line 44 of info.c) and supply the byte-count argument in _vorbis_pack_comment (around lin...

Routing packets over multiple links (NICS) all on the same ISP all with same gateway.
Ok ive been trying to get this to work for about half a year now. Ive searched all over the internet for a solution for my problem. Ive found some solutions, but they only led me to yet more problems. What we want to do is the following: I live in a student complex with 7 other people. Every room has its own internet connection from the same ISP. Ip, gateway, subnet are asigned through dhcp on

Antivirus for CentOS? (yuck!)
Hi All, Yes, I know, it's really really embarrassing to have to ask but I'm being pushed to the wall with PCI DSS Compliance procedure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_DSS) and have to either justify why we don't need to install an anti-virus or find an anti-virus to run on our CentOS 5 servers. Whatever I do - it needs to be convincing enough to make the PCI compliance guy tick the
