[LLVMdev] Making a CopyToReg/CopyFromReg into a zext/sext?
Thanks for getting back to me. So those nodes record if the type has already been expanded from a narrower type. Can you elaborate how I could use these to help? Again, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the SDNodes. Thanks. [LLVMdev] Making a CopyToReg/CopyFromReg into a zext/sext?
I have a CopyToReg that is copying from different size types, what's the best way to change that to a zext or sext node based on signed or unsigned? I'm fairly unfamiliar with SelectionDAG process (outside of the docs on llvm website). It seems like I should be able to insert a custom hook using the register class to identify the type, potentially in ISelDAGToDag.cpp or is there a better place for this to be done? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An...

accessing outlook pst files w/ samba
...I move the "pst" files to a linux smb share, then the pst file can be accessed *BUT* only by one user at a time. I am told that in the windows exchange environment, multiple users could open up a pst folder on the exchange server simultaneously. (never having been an outlook user, I'm unfamiliar w/ this particular aspect of windows). from a bit googling, it seems that "pst" files are essentially "mailbox databases", which can include things in addition to mails. I have also seen some solutions (for a full client conversion from windows), that involved creation of an i...

OT: Creating documentation using a web interface
Hello all, I would like to document some things I am doing with asterisk, but would prefer to do this from a web interface. I am unfamiliar with any software that allows you to create online documentation from a web interface. Ideally I will be able to create documentation online from a browser, which then when saved, is immediately ready to be read online. Perhaps I can setup different authors who are also allowed to create documenta...

HABTM join table has an "ID" column - is this an issue?
All, I''m building model objects for existing tables that I cannot modify. In AWDWR, Dave says "Note that our join table has no id column...The second reason for not including an id column in the join table is that AR automatically includes all columns from the join tables when accessing rows using it. If the join table included a column called id, its id would overwrite the id

[LLVMdev] .thumb_set
...t then I get ../test/MC/ARM/thumb_set.s:60:13: error: redefinition of 'beta' .set beta, alpha I would like to make .thumb_set throw the same error here as I believe that is how it should behave in this case. Please let me know if you are ok with this, or some other approach. I’m unfamiliar with it so its possible that what i’ve found isn’t a bug at all but just how we want it to behave. Speex WBB decoder on AT91SAM7S microcontroller?
Hi, I would like to compile the Speex fixed-point, WB decoder for an AT91SAM7S256 ARM7 microcontroller using gcc-arm-elf and was wondering, before I roll up my sleeves and try to figure out all the autoconf things that I'm really unfamiliar with, if anyone else has done this and can share their experiences. I see in the archives that some folk have compiled for this processor before but I am not sure if that included the WB decoder. Basically I'm anxious to know what the resource requirements are for the fixed-point WB decode...

Why still no PKCS#11 ECC key support in OpenSSH ?
...but ECC support > over PKCS#11 appears to repulse them for more than two years (I don't > care to check for exactly how many more). There's no "repulsion" involved, just a lack of time coupled with a lot of unfinished work and the costs (for me at least) of ramping up on an unfamiliar API (PKCS#11). -d

Problem with Samba4 installation - trouble at kinit
...s something I am doing wrong. When Samba is running, there is no listening socket on port 88. Does Samba implement the kerberos functionality internally? If so, does it specifically look for /etc/krb.conf? If Samba does not implement Kerberos, should I have a Kerberos server running? I am very unfamiliar with Kerberos. Which package should I have installed? Thank you.

unexpected "false convergence"
I've come into some code that produces different results under R 2.1.1 and R 2.2.1. I'm really unfamiliar with the libraries in question (MASS and nlme), so I don't know if this is a bug in my code, or a regression in R. If it's a bug on my end, I'd appreciate any advice on potential causes and relevant documentation. The code: score<-c(1,8,1,3,4,4,2,5,3,6,0,3,1,5,0,5,1,11,1,2,4,5,2...

Handling of metadata in llvm::CloneModule
...es argument function ShouldCloneDefinition to discriminate on objects being cloned, but blindly copies all named metadata...? In my case this results in debug nodes that are creating uses/relocations for global objects that were _not_ copied per ShouldCloneDefinition... Before I jump head on into unfamiliar code, I would like to understand why this wheel was not invented in the first place :) Thanks. Sergei Larin P.S. Also, if this does need fixing, please suggest the proper strategy for it... Thanks. --- Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is a member of Code Aurora Forum, hosted by The Linux Founda...

[LLVMdev] Broken PLT on ARM from R183966
...tion correctly so a temporary local change to disable FastISel for linux / NaCl targets is working for me right now. I'm not very familiar with the ISel passes. I'm guessing the correct thing to do here would be to apply the attribute correctly in FastISel so it works, but I'm kind of unfamiliar with this part of the code and won't have time to dig into it right now, although I'm willing to do it if someone points me to the right area of code. In the meantime, would it be worthwhile to submit in a modification to disable FastISel for non-darwin targets, or is it likely to be fixed...

GLM/GAM and unobserved heterogeneity
...al", with which I could estimate a Cox proportional hazard model using coxph. The advantage of such an approach is that unobserved heterogeneity is easily addressed using the "frailty" term. The disadvantages, at least for my purposes, are two-fold. First, my audience is unfamiliar with hazard models. Second, my monthly data has many "ties" (many terminations in the same month), so I've been told that coxph won't work well on a large dataset with many ties. On the other hand, because the data is measured discretely each month, many references s...

CentOS5 installation crashes
...LVM button to add my logical volumes as follows: 5GB / 8GB /home 5GB /tmp 4GB /var 1GB swap all are ext3 partitions. I exit the LVM dialogue and click Next to continue with the partitioning, and... it all crashes. I get a debug error box with lots of unintelligible errors that I am completely unfamiliar with. I click OK on the error dialogue and the installation freezes and I can only power off with the button. I will probably look for this on bug tracker and log a bug report if I don't find a similar case, but I wanted to mail the list first (because it's easier) and ask if anyone knows...
