No /etc/yum/repos.d after new install of 5.2
Since I was in the unenviable position of completely reinstalling my
system today, I started out from the 5.2 Final DVD and then ran yum
update to get the 79 (?) packages (and another 14 after that). I
noticed something I found rather odd.
There is no /etc/yum/repos.d directory at all.
Is this right? Doesn't seem so. M...

Dear Bert,
You have made my day!! Your post is a great help and very useful in my
field.
The paper is not among the off-the-shelf research output. Some of us, who
get into unenviable conflict and disputation with some reverenced
authorities in our field, understand the weight of the article. I had not
even consumed half of it before I decided to thank you. I will quickly go
back to see how it goes. I am sure it is going to be one of my best
collections for the year!!

Problems with Authenticating Samba shares.

which I cannot account for the authentication to samba shares stopped
functioning.
Note.
We tried all the easy fixes such checking for rouge processes starting and
stopping samba, even rebooted Unix and NT machines.
There maybe an easy solution, but I would appreciate advice.
I am in the unenviable position in that an NT network belonging to a project is
now none functional due to this problem. This system was setup by a colleague
who is away on holiday and cannot be contacted.
I hope that you can respond fairly quickly.

Help! Zap echo on bridged calls
I've been going nuts lately trying to get rid of an annoying echo
problem that makes my asterisk server unusable when clients try to call me.
Here's the breakdown of the issue - Hoping that someone can throw me a
clue:
My setup is as such:
Single AMD Athon machine with X100P clone card and voip through multiple
providers .
* Inbound calls through the X100P that do not bridge to
