I installed the latest version of wine in ubuntu gutsy from wine repository (wine version 0.9.54) and when i try to install warcraft II from cd rom i get this error: Warning: unprotecting memory to allow real-mode calls. I all, I'm using wine 1.1.14 and when I try to play any game all the system crash and become unresponsive: I can't restart X with ctrl+alt+backspace and the Sysrq magic key doesn't work. Wine crashes in about 0 to 10 minutes EVERY time no matter which game I'm playng. I don't know if it is a wine, Xorg, Kernel or nvidia driver problem but a month ago wine worked like a charm.

Hi all, I'm using wine 9.57 in ubuntu gutsy, I'm trying to install BGII but the installshield, when reaches about 78%, asks me for the cd2: I give the directory path and immediately it asks for cd 3,4,5. Naturally i can't provide cd 5 because BGII is a 4cds game. I've tried to upgrade installshield with no result. I've also tried to eject (wine eject) the directory with cd1 but
