Graphics: Improving a Lattice plot - can it be done ?
Hallo all I realise this might be a "too much to ask" question, but can I improve the Lattice plot produced by the following code? The type of figure I would like to produce in each segment of the plot appears below the code. library(reserving) # http://toolkit.pbwiki.com/RToolkit <http://toolkit.pbwiki.com/RToolkit> data(GenIns) GenInsInc <- incrementalTriangle(GenIns)

Alarmreceiver
Hi, I just want to ask if anyone has some experience with Alarmreceiver application in * 1.2? Is this application reliable (according to wiki it isn't)? I managed to communicate Asterisk (Alarmreceiver) with a burglar alarm, but it behaves very strange. Sometimes alarmreceiver is able to get some events but sometimes not. Maybe there are some other non commercial applications which work under

WFMU has added an Ogg Vorbis stream
It's 40 kbps/22 kHz stereo. I tried to convince them to raise the sampling rate to 44.1 kHz, but they're determined to keep it within reach of urban dialup modem users. This aught to increase awareness of Ogg among artists and record collectors in NYC and beyond who would not have otherwise heard of Ogg Vorbis. 'FMU has a huge presence on the web. WFMU is a non-commercial, freeform

Yum problem CentOS 3.3?
I''m still using CentOS 3.3 as our install mechanism, then adding some packages from a tarball of RPMs we need. Then I run # yum update yum which sometimes takes a while. Yesterday it took many hours. I like to run these from behind a firewall in our office before taking the server to the datacenter, but the delay meant a whole day''s delay in our trip to the datacenter

One Dimensional Monte Carlo Simulation
Tony, I?m not sure what exactly you?re trying to do, but you're not really taking advantage of vectorization in your R code. I've tried to clean it up a little. The clamped lognormal is almost always 0 or L? That seems a little odd. You seem to be using the inverse cdf method of drawing samples. That's not necessary in R for standard probability distributions. You may want to do a

One Dimensional Monte Carlo Simulation
Further to my email below, I have just realised that I forgot to include the specification of L and R. Hence, the code needs to include the following additional lines at the start;- L<-7.5e6 R<-2.5e6 Apologies for any confusion caused!
