...o come off so harsh, I don't have a cat but if
any of my USPes fell on one it would be a flat cat. :-) I
misinterpreted your post,
The upscode2 driver has been a PIA for me for years, or maybe it isn't
the driver but the UPS. Yeah, probably it's the UPS. Besides the
issues with underreporting the battery state of charge, the upscode2
driver periodically gets a no data response from the UPS. Beats me why
that is.

an assert() function
hi. i've looked for (and not found) an assert() function. needing one,
i created the following (from stop()). i'm posting it in case 1)
someone sees a problem with this; and 2) someone else has a need.

iraq statistics - OT
I came across this one:
http://www.nysun.com/article/32787
which says that the violent death rate in Iraq (which presumably
includes violent deaths from the war) is lower than the violent
death rate in major American cities.
Does anyone have any insights from statistics on how to
interpret this?
