Nice review of Wine on frankw.livejournal.com
...ns. I'm amazed how many Windows applications will work
with Wine flawlessly. I remembered Wine from its early days when it
could run only the most basic of applications and even those would not
work very well... but how wrong I was to still think of Wine in these
terms. In fact, I think Wine is underrated and deserves more
mainstream exposure. I have been working with Linux for about a decade
and a half now, and the evolving capabilities of Wine have managed to
escape my attention completely."

Polycom 601 question
Hey everyone,
I know this isn't a direct Asterisk issue, but some of you may know this
answer.
I recently upgraded the SIP version to 1.6.6 on all of our phones in the
office. Everything is working fine, except one aspect. The phones in the
office reboot randomly for no apparent reason. I haven't changed
anything in the configuration files since the upgrade. The only setting

completely custom rpm's
Hi
During a 'normal' install i have to add a bunch of users and modify some
files such as DNS, Syslog, ssh key files etc
While i can do this with a shell script post install it would be VERY
neat to just have all these changes packaged up into an rpm and i can
then just rpm -i this post install.
Can i do this and if so can anyone point me to a how-to that would help
me through the

Weird rate in HTB
Dear all,
First, sorry for my bad English ..
To night one of my client is the victim of UDP attack from internet. It''s tons
of UDP packets from internet with destination to port 80. But when I look at
class of that victim client, the actual class rate is over than configured
rate class.
Below is my screen capture. You can see at class 1:913 which have actual rate

how to make puppet a killer app
I''ve been thinking about how to make Puppet a killer app, and I think there
is one specific thing that could be done to help make that happen:
People using Puppet now to consistently state what they *really* wish Puppet
could do for them -- the recent thread around Puppet on Windows is in that
vein, but it''s not specific enough. For example, I''d like to know what

Qs about FXO/FXS cards
Hello.
I am going to be putting together my first * system using FXO/FXS
interfaces. All the systems I have set up thus far have been pure VoIP
setups.
The system I need to set up should have 3 FXO interfaces and 1 FXS
interface, as well as several SIP phones. I have noticed people
complaining about Digium's TDM cards - are these isolated incidents or
are these cards unreliable? I intend to
