?Corrupt Recommended packages source
...main CRAN site. The sources have arrived corrupted each time (from multiple computers BTW). If I download the same file from the UCLA or University of Bristol mirror, I also get corrupt archive files. On the other hand, if I download from the University of Wisconsin mirror, the file arrives uncorrupted. I've verified this at each site multiple times using computers attached to T1 lines, to DSL lines, and to cable modem lines. I don't know much about mirroring, but is it possible that some mirror sites are storing (possibly) corrupted archive files while other sites have uncorrupte...

Looking for users of --keep-foreign-metadata
I need uncorrupted metadata, as I use data in Base64 encoding in a long text tag for my music synchronized light show. Implemented now in .mp3 ID3 tags, I hope to extend to FLAC, but that only works if metadata is kept exactly in its original content. Scott Burkhart Scott Burkhart Effects, LLC http://www.scotteffx...

RGui error on Windows 2000
...se who find themselves in a similar predicament with an apparently corrupted R in Windows 2000. The problem was traced back to a corrupted register in my user profile in Windows 2000 apparently caused by a DLL in Visual Basic installation not self registering correctly. The fix was to copy a new uncorrupted register from the default user. Though some of my desktop settings were altered, all problems were fixed with no discernable impact on R or .Rdata files. Interestingly, the problem did not recur when the offending VB exectable was installed again and both R and the other program now happily coexi...

[PATCH 4/4] drm/nouveau: introduce CPU cache flushing macro
...many of the vertex and texture buffers seem to be partially corrupted. In glmark2 the 3d models had many vertices (but not all) at the wrong position. Note that not all the scenes ended up being corrupted - in particular, when two consecutive scenes used the same model, the second instance would be uncorrupted. Forcing the caching to TTM_PL_FLAG_UNCACHED led to the same result. What is interesting is that while data like vertices and textures got corrupted, pushbuffers and shader programs seem to be just fine, as I could not see any runtime error. I don't really understand what kind of caching be...

Server writes...?
...re any chance that the resulting "/shared_space/bigfile.mov" on BigServer would have a corrupted copy, because several clients were uploading at the same time? Or, does the rsync daemon guarantee that the last person (the 3rd team member to connect to BigServer) gets to upload the final, uncorrupted version of "bigfile.mov" to BigServer? Any help is greatly appreciated. I've read all the docs I could find but did not see this addressed.
