Plugging in a hard drive after Solaris has booted up?
Hi guys,
I have a quick question, I am playing around with ZFS and here''s what I did.
I created a storage pool with several drives. I unplugged 3 out of 5 drives from the array, currently:

BRIstuff/OctoBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all,
I just posted this question before last week.
Meanwhile after upgrading Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCg to
1.0.8-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCh
the same problem occurs, but seems to be more seldom.
Attached is now the output of "zap show channel" .

dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is UNCONFIGURED
Usually I used real Digium cards in asterisk systems, so I'm running
into this for the first time.
dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is in state UNCONFIGURED.
This isn't super surprising, as it seems like the configuration files
for DAHDI are really intended only for configuring real physical
cards. But that begs the question:
Is there any legal DAHDI configuration for dahdi_dummy such

BRIstuff/QuadBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all,
I'm running a stable Asterisk on a HP DL380G2 1.4Ghz 0,5GB RAM
equipped with 1x TE410P and 2xJunghanns QuadBRI running in NT-mode.
Connected to the BRI-Ports are 12 Fax-Modems (Elsa MicroLink ISDN/TL V.34)
which are only operating in dial out analog mode to deliver fax messages.
After a while of running fine (50-200 dial out connections)
on some S0 spans the following message occurs

How do I remotely force an *unconfigured* Digium DPMA phone to re-query the network for the DPMA server?
Consider the following scenario:
1) One or more Digium DPMA phones are plugged into the network. I know their IP addresses and MACs.
2) The Asterisk I want to use as the telephony server starts without the DPMA module. Therefore there are no DPMA sessions between the phones and the server.
3) I install DPMA on the server, and write its configuration file for the phones. I will tie each phone to

Weird PRI error on an QUAD E1 span: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255
After working fine for a week or so my new Quad E1 asterisk 1.8 system has started rejecting outbound calls from the Nortel
BMC 450 it is connected to.
The cli fills up with these:
sig_pri.c: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 3
Is this likely to be a
1) config error
2) cable issue (I made them)
3) hardware problem with the Digium card
4) software (lib pri)
Any clues?

chan_zap.c:8050 pri_dchannel: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 2
I have a serious problem that repeats very often, after 30 - 50 calls
and I can only solve it by stopped and restarting * :-(
After a while, * seems to loose track of something. When an ISDN call
from PBX needs to go to the Telco, I get
'Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 2'
It's always channel 255/255 ??, the 'span' number is random

What's the best ztdummy?
I have several servers using ztdummy as the timing source, some CentOS

"zap show status" differs between the servers:

TDMoE Configuration problems
Hi all,
I'm having some problems getting TDMoE setup for the 1st time. I have a
TE405P installed in the main server with an ethernet cross-connection
to the secondary machine.
(Yes, I know about IAX2 but I want to use TDMoE to simulate using T1s.)
I'm using -HEAD from yesterday.
On the main machine
/etc/zaptel.conf:
loadzone = us
defaultzone=us

Use DPMA to enumerate unconfigured Digium phones in LAN
Is there a way to use DPMA to enumerate the Digium phones that are plugged in and visible in the local network, but not (yet) configured through the DPMA configuration files in Asterisk. I would like to write a frontend that lists the DPMA capable phones,
presents a GUI to specify the various options, then write the configuration files as required and make the phones read these settings. Ideally

Did you disable enable_check_sync in the xml config?

Call Drops while doing assisted transfer from remote location
Hi all,
We have our system hosted publicly and 4 phones are connected remotely at
employee's home, and when they try to do a assisted transfer to one of the
employee at the main office, the call is lost. For ex: person A calls person
B, person B calls person C for assisted transfer, and as soon as person B
hits transfer button again to transfer person A to C, the call is lost.
But in the

Make the DH-GEX fallback group 4k bit.
Where did this group come from? IMO it would be best to use one of the
standard groups if we're picking another fixed one - logjam attacks
