AW: ices question
hi ,
my guess is you connect all of the clients to the same mount point,
causing icecast to interleave the data. Which is obviously not a good
thing. If this is the case, then you should get the errors as soon as you
start the second stream.
i start any stream via sh-skript like :
./ices -B -d Radiocity -F /music/playlists/alternative.pls -m
/alternative -g Alternative -h localhost -n

Patch series for IGD passthrough
This series contains all the fixes required to produce a working IGD
passthrough box. All the changes are previously seen in the dev list but
not yet accepted. Some of them are out-dated and need some reshape.
Detailed description can be found later in each patch.
. [PATCH 1/3] qemu-xen-trad/pt_msi_disable: do not clear all MSI flags
. [PATCH 2/3] qemu-xen-trad: Correctly expose PCH ISA bridge

Serious memory leak in asterisk (manager)
hi all
after getting some (or - a lot) of messages from nagios, claiming
asterisk
to be down, I found this out...
astping xxx times repeatedly, and the manager fails to start. this
little
script was used for testing. below, I've pasted the output from 'ps
axfv' before and after the DoS, showing asterisk having allocated ~2GB
RAM.

(since 8000 is the default).
If you give your ip address and it's accessible, I could listen and maybe
hear what the problem is.

...he bugs should
have been minor (positioning errors), but they were there. Now
they're not.
Seeking optimization: When seeking within a single link, the seek
operation no longer dumps the decode setup, only the cross-frame
lapping state. This means local seeking within a single link (or in
an unchained file) is 5-10x faster, depending on platform.
bitrate tracking fix; well, not really a fix, but an improvement in
accuracy after a seek. No one should be relying on the instantaneous
bitrate indicator to mean anything authoritative, but some folks seem
to treat it that way anyway.

Wine 1.3.24 and Age of Conan: Anybody made it work?
Hey all,
Yesterday I compiled and installed 1.3.24, and after having done that I thought I'd give the new Age of Conan Unchained thingie a whirl, just to see if it worked.
Long story short, it didn't. I was fairly sure the installer/patcher was doing its thing, because it was pulling some 8GB worth of data to my disk, but all the while it was doing it, all I got was a an empty window.
When the installer/patcher was...

ffmpeg/ffmpeg2theora &vhooks
Hi theora-list,
I'm involved in in a project to redistribute C-SPAN's floor footage
from the US house and senate that we're capturing and converting*.
This footage is in the public doman, however there's a C-SPAN overlay
which is a registered trademark - we're having to overlay a "public
domain" graphic on top of it. We're currently doing this with

A killer clip
Check this clip (it's small, 373kb)

It left oggenc, lame and MP+ encoders choking in dust.

Terrible exported resources performance
Hi,
Since the below is a little long, I put my question at the top: how do I
troubleshoot awful exported resources performance in puppet and is there
anything I can tweak to get it to run under 10 minutes in larger
environments?
I have a fairly modest environment (118 nodes, but prod will be at least
twice as large). I''m trying to move my distributed nagios setup to one
