Bridging and unbridging channels
Is is possible to initiate a call that is not bridged
to the current channel?
I'd like to initiate an unbridged DIAL, announce the
party that is calling, and then bridge the two calls
together. Is this possible?
Thanks,
-L

ChanSpy with Record() : Doesnt seem to work for an unbridged SIP call
Hello,
I have an incoming Voip call, where an intro message is played (How can I
help you today?) and the answer is recorded - with Record(tst:gsm,3,30). The
call is not bridged. I also have an internal SIP phone which dials into an
extension as soon as the Voip call lands, and spies on the unbridged Voip
call, using ChanSpy.
All is well before start of Record () - ChanSpy can hear the

[Bridge] slow network performance when using bridged interfaces in 2.6.13 compared to 2.6.12.
(originally filed as a bug in Fedora's bugzilla, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=171933)
Greetings,
Using Fedora Core 4 on a Dell PE 420sc. Malfunctioning kernel is smp-2.6.13-1.1532_FC4. Properly functioning kernels included smp-2.6.12-1.1456_FC4.
Network performance is extremely poor when using bridged network interfaces. When not using brctl, the interface

Kernel modules errors and weird xl behavior with Xen 4.1
Hello,
I''m using Gentoo Linux amd64 with the 2.6.34-xen-r4 kernel from portage.
I''ve been successfully using Xen 4.0 for almost a year, but now it
seems that with the dawn of Xen 4.1, the package maintainers have
forces unstable users to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1
Looking forward to try the new xl interface, I installed it, but there
seem to be a few problems with xen-4.1

Tinc as a router
Hey there,
So I have two Amazon EC2 instances (micro) running tincd. Each is running
dnsmasq to provide a dhcp server for tinc users.
Their configuration looks something like this:
[tinc1:/etc/tinc/tincnet/tinc.conf]
Name = tinc1
AddressFamily = ipv4
Interface = tun0
Mode = switch
ConnectTo = tinc1
ConnectTo = tinc2
[tinc1:/etc/tinc/tincnet/hosts/tinc1]
Address = 10.100.250.100

Advice on vlans and pppoe
My telco is moving to feeding me over fiber, breaking out with a media
converter to one Ethernet interface. At present, I am retaining the
static feed over copper on eth0, and taking the two new feeds via vlans
on eth1. I have configured the static IP feed on eth1:790 as vlan 790,
and that seems to be fine, and eth1:780 as the PPPOE feed, and brought
up PPPOE to give me an IP, that is

ChanSpy and MeetMe
I have been successful using ChanSpy on a standard Dial call but when
attempting to ChanSpy on an incoming call that has been added to a
MeetMe conference (attempting to coach an agent that is speaking to a
conference of callers) it seems to fail to connect to the channel.
Here's the console dump:
