maximum ad domain controller unavialability time
Why would you have a server (DC) that long powered off, it for sure will give delays and less response of the network.
But you could turn it off as long as you want, once it powers up it will sync the AD again.
So no, the controller is not removed from you domain. You need todo that manualy.
I suggest you read:

And not, dont forget if

I speak about working controller, not about powered off, but network
segment doesn't available to other controllers, for pdc emulator, and
controller is available for workstations at this network segment.

maximum ad domain controller unavialability time
HI Valery
A DC is never "removed" automatically from AD, but, at least from the
Windows perspective, the longest period would be the tombstone lifetime.
After this has passed, the DC would have objects "lingering", as the
deletion of an object could have already occurred at other DCs and then
the marker of the deletion itself removed, which of course means there
is no way

maximum ad domain controller unavialability time
Hi, all.
What is greatest period for AD DC (non FSMO) can be unavailable, for
example, because network segment is unavailable for long time (3, 4 weeks)?
Is the controller will be removed from AD automatically?
And what to do after this network segment will become available?
I have read about tombstoneLifeTime attribute of Directory Service
(Configuration, Services, Windows NT), which default

ping the AP.
Interestingly when I run a tcpdump I can see few broadcast packets on
the interface. There no rules in iptables for nat or filter or mangle.
Neither did I start /setup any bridge setup.
strace on ping gives me "EAGAIN Resource temporarily unavialable" errors.
Even with madwifi drivers and it is the same story. The drivers work
perfectly on Fedora core 3 kernel.
Am I missing something obvious ?
Any help would be appreciated.

blocked caller id
...user calls up w/ blocked caller id I get the
following on my phone
Incoming call from asterisk
This is the same on my Cisco 7940s and Polycom phones. For average
users this is not intuitive at all..
I'd like to configure this so if I deploy this at a customer site it
says "caller id unavialable". With the spelling done right....
Any ideas on how this wold be accomplished?

[Bug 83] New: fork() fails when there are PAM limits set
...il at dobrich.net
Background: debian woody, kernel 2.4.17
The problem is, when you set some resource limits in /etc/security/limits.conf
for group X - nproc 20 ( maximum of running user processes - 20 ), and try to
log with some user with group X, sshd says 'fork failed - resource temporary
unavialable'. There are no other processes running for this user, and as far as
i've seen, it makes something like authenticate-set limits-fork()-setuid() , and
because there is a moment when it's running under root with really lowered
limits, it bombs out.
Any solutions?

I tried it w/ mine as well and it hung up on me because I just have
Voicemail running not Voicemail2.
It seems as though you have Voicemail2 because it's trying to play the
Unavialable message.
Just a thought though.
Does it do the samething w/
