Age of Wonders access violation upon start and crashes
Hello, I am Wine 1.3.25 installed in Mac OS X 10.6.8 via Macports 2.0.1. With it I have been able to install Age of Wonders 1.36 downloaded from GoG.com. However: 1. The Settings configuration program gives an access violation and crashes. 2. If I start the game itself, I would hear the game''s music very briefly, then it would fall silent. And at about the same time I would get an

Why tzdata-2007h [RHEA-2007:0928-05] only for CentOS 2?
I might be stupid and ask an idiot or offensive question, but here it is: "Why was tzdata-2007h [RHEA-2007:0928-05] only released for CentOS 2, when upstream has released it for all the versions?" The guys from X/OS have released it for 5.0 along with the other updates (on Oct. 9). Are the "enhancements"... "not important" as long as they''re not

Has anyone seen this before? Should I be concerned? chkrootkit says nothing. (How trustworthy is its output? ;-) Thanks. Cheers. -- Ng Pheng Siong <ngps@netmemetic.com>

Confidence Intervals for Random Effect BLUP''s
I want to compute confidence intervals for the random effect estimates for each subject. From checking on postings, this is what I cobbled together using Orthodont data.frame as an example. There was some discussion of how to properly access lmer slots and bVar, but I''m not sure I understood. Is the approach shown below correct? Rick B. # Orthodont is from nlme (can''t have both
