[PATCH hmm v3 00/14] Consolidate the mmu notifier interval_tree and locking
From: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at mellanox.com> 8 of the mmu_notifier using drivers (i915_gem, radeon_mn, umem_odp, hfi1, scif_dma, vhost, gntdev, hmm) drivers are using a common pattern where they only use invalidate_range_start/end and immediately check the invalidating range against some driver data structure to tell if the driver is interested. Half of them use an interval_tree, the others are simple linear...

[PATCH v2 02/15] mm/mmu_notifier: add an interval tree notifier
From: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at mellanox.com> Of the 13 users of mmu_notifiers, 8 of them use only invalidate_range_start/end() and immediately intersect the mmu_notifier_range with some kind of internal list of VAs. 4 use an interval tree (i915_gem, radeon_mn, umem_odp, hfi1). 4 use a linked list of some kind (scif_dma, vhost, gntdev, hmm) And the remaining 5 either don't use invalidate_range_start() or do some special thing with it. It turns out that building a correct scheme with an interval tree is pretty complicated, particularly if the use case is sync...

[PATCH 0/6] drm: Provide a simple encoder
Many DRM drivers implement an encoder with an empty implementation. This patchset adds drm_simple_encoder_init() and drm_simple_encoder_create(), which can be used by drivers instead. Except for the destroy callback, the simple encoder's implementation is empty. The patchset also converts 4 encoder instances to use the simple-encoder helpers. But there are at least 11 other drivers which can
