NUT monitor
I installed NUT version 2.6.3-1ubuntu1.1 w/the client and server and
the nut monitor. When I open the monitor, I get an error: error
connecting to 'local host' ([Errno] connection refused). What can I do
to get NUT to work? I can not tell if the NUT program is working or not.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit
Installed NUT from the Synaptic Package Manager.

PAT problem
Hello everybody,
I want to solve the following problem with Shorewall:
I have a computer with one NIC (eth0) with an internal IP address
(10.1.x.x), which is supposed to accept connections from various
clients (10.2.x.x) and redirect them to another IP address (10.3.x.x)
with a different destination port.
For example:

Grim Fandango in wine
Hey all,
It's a thorn in my side, I had monkey island 3 running in wine, but this
one just doesn't cooperate. The setup program exits with a problem copying
install files (error 112, if it means anything). If anyone has got it
working, let me know.
Thanks

openGL problem ?
I started SolidWorks (3D CAD program) with wine.
As soon as I go from 2D sketch to 3D solid the
screen is becoming black. One can see some
lines as it is rotated. The same is for wireframe
and rendered solids. 2D works very good. What
can be the reason ? (SW is openGL based)
Any help is welcome

How to I fix undefined symbol: _glapi_Context error?
Hi,
I found several hits on this, but my attempts to fix it do not work.
I compiled the latest Wine 20010629 without a problem, but when I go to
run any windows app with wine I get:

x11drv.dll: /usr/X11R6/lib/libOSMesa.so.3: undefined symbol: _glapi_Context

Can't seem to build wine correctly
Hi,
I am having trouble building wine. I can't seem to get libopegl32.so
build correctly. Where it comes down to it doesn't link to libGL.*.so.
I am trying to build wine on debian unstable with nvidia stuff.

halflife & wine
Well I've read all the docs/howtos for this and it's still not working
for me. Everytime I try to do a 'wine hl.exe' it gives me the good ol'
opengl is not supported on this device error. Nothing in the wine
console. This is with build 20010112 (and also a very recent
one...forget which). I did the enable-opengl configure flag.
I'm trying to run it on a mandrake

Announcing another ddraw/d3d7 patch
...are also known to work.
Ok, what to do now? The patch fixes quite a few games, but with all bigger
changes there are problems. I know some games which worked before that are
broken now(Tibia, Z-Ball, Battlezone 2 and Swat 3). Battlezone 2 and Swat 3
have fogging issues, I have to talk to Lionel Ulmer about that, and BZ2 also
needs tripple buffering. Tibia does some Blt Voodoo which doesn't work in
OpenGL yet, z-ball is similar. It's likely that there are other breakages
too. Another issue is that wined3d still has a hard dependency on OpenGL, and
that means that my DirectDraw lib ca...

Hello there!
I think wine has become pretty good because I got some basic windows
programs (mspaint, mscalc) fully working and WinOnCD worked fine. But now
when I start a program (PowerDVD in this case) I get the following error
message:
bash-2.04# wine "/windows/E/Programme/CyberLink/PowerDVD/powerdvd.exe"

Shorewall + Broadband + Dial-Backup
I''ve built a custom system based on Debian Sarge and shorewall 2.0.8
functioning as gateway for my local network. Everything is working
perfectly, but my primary Internet uplink (Cable Broadband) is a bit
flakey lately, which is why I''d like to add my ISDN card for failover
dial-backup, should my primary link go down.
Maybe someone could outline the caveats of such a setup or
