integration problem with gamma function
...have a problem with translating a mathematica script into R. The whole
script is at the end of the email (with initial values for easy
reproduction) and can be pasted directly into R. The problematic part
(which is included below of course) is

environment-modules
We've got a developer here who needs to use both java and openjdk. I was
giving her sudo for alternatives, but my manager would prefer that I look
into environment-modules. I've installed it, and I see it comes with
configurations for cvs and info... but nothing for java, and the man pages
doesn't seem to offer info on creating one.
Does anyone have a pointer to a howto, or maybe even

Marking returned MASQ'ed packets (ingress, TC, etc.)
Hi Folks,
I''m using a 2.4.x kernel and TC from the iproute2 package
so that I can limit traffic through my gateway. I''m using this
to mark packets when they leave the LAN:
/sbin/ipchains -A forward -j MASQ -i eth0 -s 192.168.1.0/24 -d 0.0.0.0/0

When the packets return, I need to have them marked again so that
the ingress filter will limit the bandwidth in the opposite

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:

Mirroring a server
I'm trying to use rsync to mirror an entire FreeBSD 4.5 server. This includes the
kernel and quite a few other system level files. As one might expect, rsync hangs
when it tries to copy the kernel file. Has anyone had success with this kind of
setup?

pfifo_fast: right band?
The HOWTO mentions 3 seperate bands for the simple pfifo_fast queue, how
do I need to specify which band each packet needs to be in? Do I only need
to set the correct TOS field or is there anything else I should do?

tc: weight, defmap and split usage?
Some (non urgent) questions about "tc" parameters:
What is "weight" for? We''ve seen that leaving it out of our script causes
error/warnings like:
CQB: class 00010012 had bad quantum==0, repaired.
Which values should it have and why?
When should one use the "split" and "defmap" parameters? I guess they can
be used to specify the best effort
