Marc,
Thanks for your help and clarifications. I was indeed addressing the domain
controller (2012 R2) due to my misunderstanding. Addressing the request at
the file server (Samba 4) to the file server fails too but with different
errors. Rights list succeeds.

help with the usage of "randomForest"
Dear all,
Can anybody give me some hint on the following error msg I got with using
randomForest?
I have two-class classification problem. The data file "sample" is:
----------------------------------------------------------
udomain.edu udomain.hcs hpclass
1 1.0000 1 not
2 NA 2 not
3 NA 0.8 not
4 NA 0.2 hp
5 NA 0.9 hp
------------------------------------------------------------
The steps I called the function are:
(1) Read data
hp <- read.table("sample")
(2) Call randomForest

keytab file). So, since we're already joining the machines to the domain
with Samba, we thought it would be smart to just generate the keytab files
with net ads.
export KRB5_KTNAME=FILE:/etc/www.keytab
net ads keytab create -Udomain-admin (requires a password, so this can't be
scripted and run in cron)
net ads keytab add HTTP -Udomain-admin (requires a password, so this can't
be scripted and run in cron)
unset KRB5_KTNAME
chown apache /etc/www.keytab
service httpd restart
However, when Samba changes the machine acco...

randomForest: more than one variable needed?
Hi,
I am doing feature selection for my dataset. The following is
the extreme case where only one feature is left. But I got
the error below. So my question is that do I have to use
more than one features?
sample.subset
udomain.edu hpclass
1 -1.0 not
2 -1.0 not
3 -0.2 not
4 1.0 hp
5 1.0 hp
> randomForest(hpclass ~., data=sample.subset, importance=TRUE);
Error in if (n == 0) stop("data (x) has 0 rows") :
argument is of length zero

NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED with winbindd authentication
Hi,
We're running a print server having the following specifications:
Samba 3.0.11
Suse 9.1
Kernel 2.6.5-7.108 kernel
A few days back none of the users were able to log onto the print
server. The debug 10 logs show the following lines:
[2005/03/29 11:21:05, 5] auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(271)
check_ntlm_password: winbind authentication for user [**user-name**]

use my NT4 domain for authentication of users. It looks like everything is
setup properly as far as winbind is concerned, see below for results using
wbinfo. I am still prompted for a password when trying to connect to the

-Udomain+username" either, I get a server timeout error and the following
error in my log.smbd:

Sharing to domain users?
...ion (about 2 weeks old cvs), where it was still there. Bottom
line is winbindd doesn't do pam_auth_crap anymore, so that wbinfo -a
functionality won't work. To see whether winbindd is actually working for
you, you have to go to a different testing method:
smbclient //servername/sharename -Udomain+user
then give your password. If this works, then youre getting there...
But NO, you don't need pam_winbind.so to do what you are trying to do.

Winbind - Why won't you authenticate???
Well, I managed to get Samba 2.2.3 up and running on our Solaris 8 machine.
I installed with the winbind option and everything went though just find.
I was able to join the NT domain and now I can do a wbinfo -u "and get a
domain user list as well as a "wbinfo -g and get a group list. For some
reason though, the authentication isn't working.
I tried to "wbinfo -a" and
