I agree, any platform suffers when it is extremely difficult to implement. What we need is an interface that does everything we need and shows what asterisk is capable of, a lot of features will go unused because you might not know the exist unless you hunt them down in the source or conf files. I trained on an Avaya INDeX switch it had a complex console but was laid out in a structured way a

Some queries on g729 license.
Hi, all I am a pabx vendor from Singapore. Recently we are going to implement a failover solution for our customers using heartbeat, the asterisk server can failover perfectly, however the g729 codec canot work, because it is binded the mac address, we have bought two set of licenses, can you provide us some workaround for this scenario? Dedicated server running ESXi with no RAID card, ZFS for storage?
Morning all... I have a Dedicated server in a data center in Germany, and it has 2 3TB drives, but only software RAID. I have got them to install VMWare ESXi and so far everything is going ok... I have the 2 drives as standard data stores... But i am paranoid... So, i installed Nexenta as a VM, gave it a small disk to boot off and 2 1Tb disks on separate physical drives... I have created a

[PATCH] Update the 5 year logo to 10 year logo
Already outdated, but rounded ;) I literally just opened the 5yrs logo, changed the text and then done: inkscape -z -o logo/fish-10yrs.{png,svg} cp {logo,website}/fish-10yrs.svg and then updated the rest of the files. Inconsistency in grid::grid.polyline
Hi The general "evolution" of grid.*() functions (that I have written) have tended towards the grid.polyline() style ... grid.*(...) { grid.draw(*Grob(...)) } With my thinking at least heading towards: if you are calling grid.*(), then you want to actually draw something; if you want to just create a description of something to draw, then you want to call *Grob(). Wayland Display Support in R Plot
Hi I am unaware of any Wayland display support. One useful way forward would be an R package that provides such a device (along the lines of 'Cairo', 'tikzDevice', et al) Paul On 27/10/23 23:16, quentin.thorne via R-devel wrote: > Hello, > > I'm interested in understanding the current state of Wayland display > support in R plot, and I was wondering if any

[FORGED] r-base is already the newest version (3.5.2-1bionic)
The silence has been deafening in respect of my latest cri de coeur about trying to install R via "sudo apt-get r-base". I have been thrashing around on my own, and getting nowhere. What I have tried is removing all traces of the "old" (installed from source) R from the system. I did "whereis R" and then moved all of the relevant directories that appeared, into

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Hi I have created an R branch that contains a potential fix ... https://svn.r-project.org/R/branches/R-symfam/ This allows, for example, ... cairo_pdf(symbolfamily="OpenSymbol") ... to specify that the OpenSymbol family should be used as the "symbol" font (e.g., for "plotmath") in R. This is just a separate branch for now because, while I have tested it under

[FORGED] src/modules/X11/devX11.c, can we remove "#if BUG" yet
Hi Sorry, I can't offer an explanation for the commented-out line. However, regarding your final question of avoiding the R-core bottleneck, you do have the option of creating a third-party graphics device package. See, for example, the 'tikzDevice' and 'svglite' packages on CRAN. Does that provide you with a way forward ? Paul On 20/04/2019 5:27 p.m., frederik at

r-base is already the newest version (3.5.2-1bionic)
After a great deal of apparently irrelevant kerfuffle, with which I have been boring this list, I managed to do: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade without getting error messages. I was told that there was nothing to do. I then (to make sure?) did: sudo apt-get install r-base and was told: > r-base is already the newest version (3.5.2-1bionic). > 0 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0
