--delete reports all files deleted
Using rsync-2.6.3 under Slackware Linux 10.1.
Usually when I issue
rsync -uacHv $SOURCE $TARGET >>/var/log/mirror.log files that are
updated are listed in mirror.log.
Today for the first time I used --delete --force in the line
rsync -uacHv --delete --force $SOURCE $TARGET >>/var/log/mirror.log
it looks like _every_ file has a line in the log that says

Usage question for source at /
...ile excluding certain directories.
/home /var and /usr/local are mounted on separate partitions.
How do I specify starting at the root directory? Is // correct?
The USAGE section of man rsync and some googling suggest I need a
trailing / for the source path. Is the line below correct?
rsync -uacHv --exclude="lost+found mnt proc public sys tmp" // /mnt/backup
(Above single line split into two by the Thunderbird)
