[PATCH v3 0/9] fbdev: Clean up include dependencies in header
Remove unnecessary dependencies in the include statements of the
header file <linux/fb.h>. Several files throughout the kernel include
the fbdev header, so reducing dependencies positively affects other
subsystems as well. Also fix up corgi-lcd, nouveau and fbtft, which
need backlight.h in some of their source files.
v3:
* include backlight.h in corgi-lcd (kernel test robot)

Assume default values instead.

[PATCH v2 00/25] drm/dumb-buffers: Fix and improve buffer-size calculation
Dumb-buffer pitch and size is specified by width, height, bits-per-pixel
plus various hardware-specific alignments. The calculation of these
values is inconsistent and duplicated among drivers. The results for
formats with bpp < 8 are incorrect.
This series fixes this for most drivers. Default scanline pitch and
buffer size are now calculated with the existing 4CC helpers. There is

[PATCH v2 51/86] drm/ast: Run DRM default client setup
...;s default client setup
for DRM. Set fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver, so that the client
setup can start the common fbdev client.
The ast driver specifies a preferred color mode of 32. As this
is the default if no format has been given, leave it out entirely.

[PATCH 00/17] cirrus: Modernize the cirrus driver
Update the cirrus driver to follow current best practices. While the
driver's hardware is obsolete, the cirrus driver is still one of the
go-to modules to learn about writing a DRM driver. So keep it in good
shape.
Patches 1 to 3 simplify blitting and convert it to the DRM's current
helpers.
Patches 4 to 8 replace simple-KMS helpers with DRM's regular atomic
helpers. The former are

[PATCH v2 0/9] drm/{amdgpu,nouveau}: Remove old fbdev hooks
After switching all drivers' fbdev emulation to DRM client, the
old fbdev hooks are now obsolete. Only amgdpu and nouveau still use
them in a several places. Remove the hooks from the drivers and the
DRM core.
The series would ideally be merged at once via drm-misc-next.
v2:
- call vga_switcheroo_process_delayed_switch() from
drm_lastclose() (Sima)
- documentation updates
