Ubuntu 8.04 + Astribank
I'm trying to use a Xorcom Astribank wth Ubuntu 8.04, but got no success. I
can see the channel bank with lsusb, but when I tried to use
zaptel_hardware, or when I try the /etc/init.d/script, they don't see my
Channel Bank. I compiled the latest Zaptel 1.4.10, with Astribank's
dependecies, fxload and libusb-dev. Anyone have a similiar experience ?
Best Regards,

asterisk-users Digest, Vol 64, Issue 52
Thanks for the speedy response, Danny.
So you recommend I run something like:
asterisk -vvvvr | tee ast-help.txt
Then when I need help on a command I request it on the command line, exit to the shell, edit (or whatever) the .txt file to find the command syntax I am looking for, then re-enter the asterisk cli? Kind of defeats the purpose of 'online help' doesn't it?

Summary of "Trixbox vs. custom install"
...regarding Trixbox are not answered so promptly
within the Asterisk mailing list. He concludes: if you have at last
to go back to pico/vim/emacs... better start with them.
- Tzafrir Cohen (in reply to Stephen Bosch) suggests using SRPMS to
rebuild packages from sources.
- Tom Rymes (in reply to Tzafir Cohen) says he never had problems
with Yum update. Of course you have to exclude the Kernel from the
Yum updates. He reports installing Trixbox many times with Sangoma
cards. He concludes that neither approaches, anyway, can be fine for
everybody and you must choose the right approach according...
