Easy question that I can't find an answer for. I'm trying to subset a data frame and want to exclude the positive values, i.e. I want the NA values. My data: > summary(temp$tuna) Min. 1st Qu. Quo vadis?
Hi, In the course of my experiments with rt kernels it so happens that the gui versions of tuna built from upstream (RHEL, F11) SRPMs show wrong affinity settings for IRQ threads. Where would be a proper place to report this and get some help on other rt-related issues? Thanks, Sasha

Blocking and compression.
...agaisnt flac in various areas, if they will be accepted. I'm not sure if these additions fit the "focus" of what flac is meant to be, so I thought I'd discuss them first. Keep in mind that I just subscribed to this list, so if these have already been gone over, just slap me with a tuna :) I believe the reason flac is behind some of the closed source encoders is two fold: Blocking and arithmatic encoding. Blocking: If the data set is local (not streaming) and we have the opportunity to make a coupla passes on the data, its possible to determine non fixed block sizes that fit ord...

Tweaking params for 24 bit?
...background noise). Encoding speeds are multiples of realtime but as you can guess it does take a while (maybe half an hour for a 3 hour file or so, plus another ~15 minutes to save the stuff as WAV in Audacity prior to compression). BTW (re: the "standard encoding rates" thread), the FM tuna I use for recording is pretty much dead flat up to ~16 kHz frequency response wise, with a fairly but not extremely steep drop beyond that. (Thus I'd be wary about using 32 kHz for recording here.) Up to 19 kHz would be possible provided you get the 19 kHz pilot tone canceled out properly, but...

Gradient of the slope of a surface
Hello All I am currently looking at spatial data - Chorophyll A concentration in sea water over a wide geographic area. These data are used to determine the location of ocean fronts and hence where tuna are located. A front is identified by a steep gradient in the change in chloroA concentration. I have been looking at these data qualitatively using persp, contour, and image but would like to determine a metric for the rate of change in concentration between evenly spaced cells - essentially deter...

Force the for loop to stop
Hi, I am looking for a command in R that would force the for loop to stop after it finds what it is looking for. As an example for(i in 1:5){ for(j in 3:6){ if(i==j) # do something... break; } } And i don't want the loop to execute once i = 3 and stop. Is there a way to do this? best, salih [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
