how to get perfect fit of lm if response is constant
Hello. Consider the response-variable of data.frame df is constant, so analytically perfect fit of a linear model is expected. Fitting a regression line using lm result in residuals, slope and std.errors not exactly zero, which is acceptable in some way, but errorneous. But if you use summary.lm it shows inacceptable error propagation in the calculation of the t value and the corresponding

Maybe 2-3 words about those topics (role of router, ISP) could be of general help to users. Thanks for all your work! Marcus Bogenst?tter

Weird Authentication behaviour
Hi guys, we use dovecot 2.0.9 and authentication against a mysql database. Everything works fine, but we found some weird behavior ? when the password is e.g. ?testpass? you also authenticate successfully with ?testpass123? or ?testpassNOT?. Whatever comes after the correct password doesn?t matter, the authentication is still successful. Here are the used configs: // auth-sql.conf.ext passdb { driver = sql args = /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf.ext } userdb { driver = static args = uid=vmail gid=vmail home=/data/mail/%d/%n } // dovecot-sql.conf.ext driver = my...

Sweave - How to use local objects in code chunks
Hello, I wrote a function create_report that calls the function Sweave. create_report shall be used to create a pdf-report about an lm-Object which is passed as an argument to create_report. I try to use an object sel_model, that is created within the function environment of create_report and later on used within the first code chunk of the file report_template.rnw. When I use following code I

Random behavior of mclapply
.../warning/error of any kind, and I think that it could be a useful feature to know whether the function executed by mclapply returned a NULL or if the process was killed for some reason. In the following gist, I have an example of this (in this case non-random) behavior: https://gist.github.com/tvatter/2fcf3a9a99c256f9b9360f596b300715 For the record, I generate the list of NULLs in the 4th mclapply in the girst above with a late 2013 macbook pro with macOS High Sierra, 16GB of memory, and my sessionInfo() is: R version 3.5.0 (2018-04-23) Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin16.7.0 (64-bit) Running unde...
