Greetings, 10 years ago, I utilized Samba official repositories for Debian Sarge to always run the latest Samba code while the Samba PDC support stabilized. I am not quite ready yet for the Active Directory world. Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 is the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version. It comes with Samba 4.x code.
