...ed the latest versions of samba (Version 3.0.9-1.3E.13.2) from the RedHat repos but we found we were having problems with trusted domains that we didn't have access to nor wanted to authenticate with. We tried the 'allow trusted domains = no' and 'winbind: ignore domains = trustdom1 trustdom2' options in smb.conf but I think these options were not supported in this version. We then installed the 3.2.12 rpms from ftp.sernet.de which fixed that issue and got us to this stage.
