Is Truer Coding Nirvana Possible?
I''ve been web developing for a long time, and last week it felt like the
final piece of the puzzle finally fell into place for me with Markaby
(no more angle brackets, slashes, closing tags, quotes, etc. Yay!) to
reach a state where web development is enjoyable and easy and powerful.
I''ve gone from:
ASP (NOT .Net), PHP, Perl
MySQL
CVS
Dreamweaver, Frontpage, and numerous

100% with Digimer here.
I think there are no conspiracy theories. IMO RedHat does not want nor does it afford to mess up CentOS.
All this energy should be put into contributing towards to the project, testing, helping out community.

I don''t fully understand -m or -d. Why would this make a truer raid0 that with no options?
Is it necessary to use fdisk on new drives in creating a BTRFS multi-drive array? Or is this all that''s needed:
# mkfs.btrfs /dev/sdb /dev/sdc
# btrfs filesystem show
Is this related to ''subvolumes''? The FAQ implies that a subvolume is lik...

Been UNIX (programming and user) since 1978, Linux since some early
Slackware distributions, CentOS since 4.x. Will now be looking for
something staying truer to the original UNIX concepts but full-featured
and stable - may not be available, but I've got to at least look. You
know, something that doesn't bomb on a point release update because

Do these stat's on "Browse Applications by Rating" report this?
If not what does this actually report? Older versions if so how old? Can we have Change the reporting breakdown the ratings into something
more clearer, to aid people on the project? And have a truer snapshot of wine and the apps in the appdb?
It still allows you to keep the history of previous ratings for each
eg:

Extracting data using subset function
Dear All,
I want to create a vector p and extract first 20 observations using subset
function based on logical condition.
My code is below
p <- 0:100
I know i can extract the first 20 observations using the following command.
q <- p[1:20]
But I want to extract the first 20 observations using subset function which
requires a logical condition. I am not able to frame the logical

Understanding metadata efficiency of btrfs
I''ve run a little wired benchmark on comparing Btrfs v0.19 and XFS:
There are 2000 directories and each directory contains 1000 files.
The workload randomly stat a file or chmod a file for 2000000 times.
And the number of stat and chmod are 50% and 50%.
I monitor the number of disk read requests

OT: good headphones?
This is off-topic, mostly, but I figure you guys will have some knowledge in
this sound-quality-related area.
I'm sitting here looking at the most recent "Musician's Friend" at headphones
and thinking about getting a pair. They've got products from AKG, Fostex,
Audio Technica, Nady, Sennheiser, and Sony, at price points ranging from $16
to $130 (list prices $20 to
