I?m having trubbles with the speed on my samba server, I just uppgraded to gigabit (Realtek 8169 NIC) at home when i copy stuff from the samba server i get around 5-6Mb/sec and if i use ftp to access the same file on the same server i get almost 30Mb/sec does anyone have a clue what causes this problem? Hello Dan Johnson, hello list, It's really weird that there's no working command line player for FLAC files. Dan Johnson created flac123 (licensed under the GPL) to fill that gap, and started the flac-tools project. Unfortunately, flac123 doesn't work anymore with the latest FLAC, and the flac-tools project has been idle for more than a year. I created a patch that makes flac123

For directory permissions, the "x" priv determines if you can access the directory, so going from 555 (r-x,r-x,r-x) to 640 (rw-,r--,---) pretty much locks out access to the dir.
