''ser_baud=xxx'' option gone away
The Xen boot option ''ser_baud=<baud>'' has been removed from the unstable tree. If you were still using this obsolete option then the effect is that you will get no serial output when you boot Xen, which may lead you to believe that there is a more serious problem. To fix this you must move to the new boot option: ''com1=<baud>,8n1'' -- Keir

Force asterisk to re-resolve dns names?
Is there really no way to have asterisk re-resolve domain names from iax or sip providers if this failed or timed out the first time? When asterisk boots on every box i have asterisk is toooo impatient trrying to resolve the domain names for a first time. This results in asterisk thinking the provider is unreachable and only trying again in one week or so. This results (depending on the dial plan) on either not being able to make calls or to see all calls flow out via (extremely expensive) PSTN. Thi...

Configuration was done based on the two-interface setup. Kernel is 2.6.8.1 unpatched. A 2.4.23 kernel, with

I created the directory within the drive_c directory. I have also verified the spelling of the sub

Rails, FCGI, DreamHost, and endless frustrations
Hi all! I''m trying to deploy an application out to a subdomain at dreamhost. I am getting the dreaded "Rails application failed to start properly" error. The logs for my app are empty. In the DreamHost FTP app, when I look in the error.log file (I''m guessing this the Apache error log file) I see the following for each of my attempts: [Sun Jul 16 12:36:32 2006]

Re: smbd blocking in receive_smb (how to trigger procedure - LONG)
Hi, We've been experiencing this same problem, however, with Samba 3.0.7-1.3E.1 running on RedHat ES 3.0. We've also experienced this on 2.2.7x on RedHat 9. The problem has been intermittently happening over the last several weeks, (I've posted list about it). This message, along with the others in the thread, describes the symptoms that we're seeing, however, I haven't
