R/S-related projects on Sourceforge? Trove Categorization
Hi R-Users and Developers, Several months ago I made a request on Sourceforge to add the R/S - programming language to the _Trove_ categorization. ("The Trove is a means to convey basic metainformation about your project.") Today I got the following response of one of the sourceforge admins. <SNIP> SourceForge.net will consider the inclusion of a programming language within the Trove system when we host at...

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM for decompiling.
...rce translations for OpenCL kernels), but I haven't had the time to investigate it in great detail, so I don't know how well it holds up to the code. Decompiling control flow is fairly easy to do (google "control flow structuring" or similar terms and you'll hit open a few troves of papers which give fairly clear details on how to do it), so it's rather the problem that stripped, optimized executables don't give you reliable ways to find functions (or parameters, for that matter) and the complete abolition of typing and variable information that makes decompili...

File into database migration
Hi, I am trying to figure out an approach to load in our initial data into our database. I have written some load_data migrations which populate a lot of the stuff, how some of the database items are images etc and I am trying to figure out how to approach added them to the database during a rake db:migrate I am thinking if I store the files in a folder off the RAILS_ROOT I should be able to

Samba 4 technical documentation
Hi Newsgroup, I want to write a technical thesis about Samba 4 and need more detailed infos about samba's own implementations of ldap, kerberos, bind, etc. and the differences from the common implementations. Obviously I'm to stupid to find it for myself so I would be very grateful for any help, links, etc. Thanks in advance, Markus

Hmm. That's not quite it. Wikileaks recently posted a trove of docs on CIA exploits. It was big news. I'm surprised you missed that. And, yes, the exploits also include more than a few against linux. Go to their site and look under vault7. Or search for "linux" or "redhat"... you'll get hundreds of hits. Here's just...

...ever, I do believe my C++ skills are at an intermediate level, as C++, like Python, is a language in which I will spend my free time learning more about. Like vim, there is always more to learn in C++, and to that end I will watch CppCon Videos or peruse blogs such as Fluent C++(which is a treasure trove of material to nerd out on) in my free time. I also have a layman’s knowledge of CMake, from using it to configure ccls to lint C++ code with specific flags, and am aware of Google’s Test framework. Finally, I am currently taking Professor Stroustrap’s C++ class, and the compilers course here at Co...

R package organization

This listing format will >collapse under its own weight once it gets too large. > As a new R user, I have thought for some time that the organization of packages, and functions within packages, in R needs some more coherent structure, perhaps something like the hierarchy of classes used in Perl and contributed to CPAN. For example, Perl

[LLVMdev] Google SOC - Fortran Front-End Application
...of my programming education has been driven by my passion for figuring things out and my willingness to hit my head against a problem until it is solved. My learning has been aided by the books of excellent Bay Area libraries, the kind support of community members of various projects, and the vast trove of resources available on the internet. My programming ideology is one of problem solving: I encounter a problem in my life and solve it using whatever tools or resources are needed to do so. To this end, I have dabbled in a wide range of fields from databases, to statistical analysis, to GUI appl...

Authentication
Hi, I'm working with the authentication setup in Icecast 2.3.1. I have authorizing live streams down, but I'm having issues with static files that I want to also serve. I attempted creating a specific mount with typical auth configuration for add/remove listener. Do I need the add/remove mount options. Can I specify a general mount point for a directory and then add mounts via add_mount

Live Migration... shortest path
In a prior message I documented my woes in getting an NFS_ROOT xen going. I haven''t resolved those yet, want to try a different tack at this: If the group were to recommend a path of least resistance to showing migration/live migration, which configuration would it be? Deduplication - deleting the original
In reading this blog post: http://blogs.sun.com/bobn/entry/taking_zfs_deduplication_for_a a question came to mind.....
