Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
Jim Klimov via Nut-upsuser <nut-upsuser at alioth-lists.debian.net> writes: > Did anyone trod these side paths yet, any learnings? :D To me, the answer to power for little things is increasingly POE. I think there are POE ejectors that provide adequate USB-C power. You need 802.3at (POE+) surely, but that's normal these days.

Any pioneers who've configured passenger to support some apps running in 1.8.x others in 1.9?
...ssenger PrefPane, which makes a very comfy setup. With the current state of Passenger, I think doing this would involve generating a separate 1.9 version of the Passenger Apache module and some how installing both, a probably forgoing the PrefPane for at least one of the ruby versions. Has anyone trod this road before? Is there an easier way. Am I crazy? Migrations and Time datatype. Bug?
I''ve defined a table with these columns t.column "some_date", :date, :null => false t.column "some_time", :time, :null => false The result in schema.rb is t.column "some_date", :date, :null => false t.column "some_time", :time, :default => Sat Jan 01 00:00:00 GMT Standard Time 2000, :null => false The time column generates a

SIDs and UIDs and RIDs - Oh My!
...s world. I understand that UIDs are the equivalent for the *nix world. But what the @$@! is a Relative IDentifier (RID)?!? On page 153 the command to map a windows group to a *nix group - no mention of RIDs. Then on 154 it is stressed that under no circumstances should your *nix groups or users trod on window's assigned RIDs for Domain Admins, Domian Users, et. all. Another example of groupmap - oh look it lists a RID? No mention as to where a RID comes from or can be viewed. Do they mean that I can't have a user in Fedora that is 500? Isn't that a UID? Is a UID a RID? I've...

[LLVMdev] generate llvm.assume calls in GVN?
Would it be wrong to generate the llvm.assume IR suggested below? in GVN? Given more info via the AssumptionCache, InstCombine can then do more optimizing. Documenting puppet manifests
Hi there, I''m trying to document my puppet manifests, and I have created kind of a template for class documentation. After documenting a few I thought it would be great for complex manifests if we could have a tool that read some kind of standard documentation in puppet manifests and create HTML (or other format) documentation, as javadoc in Java or RDoc (?) in Ruby. So two questions:

Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
FWIW, a few lessons learned: * Different USB-A sized ports (even if marked USB-3.2) did not prove a stable source, with Pi5 occasionally turning off or rebooting. Sort of behaved well for days, but as soon as I added load like package installs or NUT builds, it did not survive 5 minutes... * Might be the MoBo turning off or cycling the port due to "overload"?.. * Tried the

Preferred Ruby Editor/IDE for OS X?
Just a quick question, if I were tired of typing ruby into a terminal editor, say I wanted, oh, a scroll bar, mouse support, and maybe syntax highlighting? Anyone know os a good Ruby/Rails editor or IDE, one that runs on OS X, possibly in Java? -Josh ----------- Due to the recent increase in spam and falsely sent email, I now PGP Sign all of my outgoing mail to prove my identity.
