...metimes, and the only reliable way to
prevent myself from treading into wild memory is to iterate e->length
times over each character in e->entry every single time and not go one
byte further.
I'm obviously doing something slightly wrong I suppose. The offending
code is at <http://cvs.triplehelix.org/tagreport/ftfuncs.cc>, function
get_flac().
But thanks for all your help. I might change to the C++ interface later
if I have time since the rest of the project is in C++ anyway.
Thanks,

Or just wait, like, a day for me to finish the packaging...

It's official in the sense that it is now an official Debian package.
I uploaded it yesterday. You can retrieve it from the unstable archive
and it

reading vorbis comments with FLAC++?
Well, I'm quite frankly stumped. I'm writing a program that recurses
into directories and reads (among others) FLAC files and should be able
to read the vorbis comments ARTIST and TITLE from the file.
A while back, I was popen()ing to metaflac, because I didn't want to
mess with libFLAC. But now, it's the weekend, so I can mess around with
this. Here's the code in question:

[Bridge] Bridging a wireless/wired LAN and a PPPoE connection
Hi all,
I'm trying out bridging for my wireless and wired LAN, so that they can
both use my PPPoE connection. Here's the network structure, pretty easy:
darjeeling (192.168.1.7) ringo (192.168.1.3)
(mtu 1500) (mtu 1500)
\ /
\ wlan0 <--br0 (mtu 1500)--> eth1

[PATCH 0/5] Debian patches for 1.1.3
Hi Josh,
Here are all the patches that are currently applied to the Debian
packages for flac. You may disagree with some of them but as the current
maintainer, I'm submitting them all for your consideration.
(I should've submitted them earlier, but I've been quite busy. Sorry!)
Here is a listing of the patches that I'll be sending:
Patch 1 fixes a simple typo in metaflac

OK. I assumed that stuff passed back to the user as char* would have

Bridging two subnets selectively using routing
Hi LARTC,
I have two networks that I manage, A and B. They both have their own
primary gateways for hosts on the network, let''s call them AR and BR.
There is another box, A1, which lives on network A but also has a wire
connecting it to a switch on network B. My goal is to let hosts on B
access three particular hosts on A''s subnet (192.168.4.0/24) and let
hosts on A access one
