Agile book apache2.conf: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server.
...assenger. I get this: "Forbidden You don''t have permission to access / on this server." when I put depot.yourhost.com in the browser. I have been through various web searches and for file permissions and suggestions to change the <Files> container. However, before I tread where I fear in the land of conf I thought perhaps it may be a simple config issue and my lack of understanding of how things are knitted together. Here is my Virtual host config: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName depot.yourhost.com DocumentRoot /home/railsapps/rails_3/depot/public/ <Directo...

CentOS 8 Broken Installation

Richard on CentOS-devel mailing list has similar problem but suggests it might be issue only with CentOS, he says he had to add the kernel line to make it work. Fix for augPred/gsummary problem (nlme library)
Dear R-users, I am a newbie to this site and a relative new-comer to S/R, so please tread lightly, for you tread... There have been several posting relating to problems with augPred() from the nlme library. Here is a "fix" for one of these problems which may lie at the root of others. In my case the problem with augPred() lay in gsummary(), which augPred() uses, causing it t...

[LLVMdev] llvm-dwarfdump and eh_frame
...? >> > > Please submit a patch to llvm-commits, with a test case that exercises the fix. > > Eli Before I submit the patch, I was wondering if it would be better to add a -eh-frame option to llvm-dwarfdump, like in the dwarfdump utility. Otherwise the eh_frame section would be treaded as a debug_frame section. What do you think? Also, how can I do a partial match on the output of dwarfdump/FileCheck? For example: pc=00527a01...08598611 .. is in the output, but the exact pc addresses do not matter when checking whether a line is in the output or not. -- Erik.

p-value from GEE
Hi to all, I found in the R-help archive how to calculate the p-value for a gee result: http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/Rhelp02a/archive/74150.html but there are two questions (I am afraid they are basic questions ...) 1. why is the result multiplicated with 2 2. how could I decide between lower.tail =TRUE and FALSE: example:

[LLVMdev] Recent Commits by Tim Northover
...MIPS target, suggesting to me that it's still a good starting point. Finally, I would really like to see this optimization be promoted from -Oz to -Os. Doesn't it satisfy the criteria for -Os over -Oz? Tim's other commit was about stack adjustment folding. So, Tim, did you see the treads with Andrea Mucignat back in October? She asked for some help so that she could provide a patch to improve machine code generation for Thumb entry/exit points. No one with knowledge about the matter responded. This commit of yours looks to me like you do have some knowledge about it. She seems...

memory leak in puppetd?
.... On many of the nodes, the puppetd process take up a ton of resident memory (> 400MB RES in top, > 500GB VIRT in top) after running for a while (> 1 week). The only thread I found on this was titled "memory leak?" and last updated on 06-Dec-2007. The question on that tread was whether or not the memory was buffered memory. I can say that for my case, it is resident memory (RES under top). One other thing to note is that on nodes where the configuration is small (not many files synched), the memory doesn''t blow up that big (stays at < 100MB). Ha...

There is some news for this tread? Samba 4.3 is out: https://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-4.3.0.html and into Fedora Development there's already new package: https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/x86_64/os/Packages/s/ But the "samba-ad" package still missing. R thread safe
Dear R-dev, I would like to accelerate my R computation by using parallel OpenMP compilers (e.g from Pathscale) on a 2-processor AMD server and I would like to know whether R is a tread safe library. The main kernel of the OpenMP parallelization is a C SEXP function that performs the computational routine in parallel with: ******************* SEXP example(SEXP list, SEXP expr, SEXP rho) { R_len_t i, n = length(list); SEXP ans, alocal; omp_lock_t lck;...

btrfs for enterprise raid arrays
...is still data on those locations and will never release those allocated blocks. New firmware/microcode versions are able to reclaim that space if it sees a certain number of consecutive zero''s and will reclaim that space to the volume pool. Are there any thoughts on writing a low-priority tread that zeros out those "non-used" blocks? Given the scalability targets of Btrfs it will most likely be heavily used in the enterprise environment once it reaches a stable code level. If we would be able to interface with these array based features that would be very beneficial. Furtherm...

The discussion was around the fact that the Sip protocol ans...

What kind of error is 13?
I never figured out how I should tread error 13 from rsync, "Problem with diagnostics". My question is, is this a transient or permanent error? Or how seriously did something go wrong when rsync returns 13? I don't get much smarter reading the rsync source either. For reference this is for Lsyncd, which watches files with...
