Macintosh Transperancy (PR#11511)
...ecided to issue the ticket. In this option can see on the default-quartz device as well as PDF-device. Solution : Have the entire point-object designed/drawn as if there is no-transparency, then make the composite object transparent. Optionally figure out an option to determine whether to apply transperancy as a group (to the entire object) or separately (as it is now). Code : > df <- data.frame(X=rnorm(50),Y=rnorm(50)) > plot(X~Y,data=df,pch=c(21,22,23,24,25),cex=5,col="#00FF0055",bg="#FF000055",lwd=6) Thanks, -Brad Vance

Q about IAX (and IAXy)
This is somewhat related to my other query on the list regarding NAT traversal. I have heard many times that IAX is "NAT-transperant". I am unsure how it accomplishes this. I do know that SIP works like this: your SIP device send a request to the SIP server (usually on port 5060) with whatever command. The SIP server respends to your device's "apparent" IP and port (this

SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
This is very problematic for me! In this LINUX VM I have registered more than 40 users for over 10 years. I wouldn't even bother having to register everyone on SAMBA, the question is the passwords of these users. SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
I apologize for forgetting to pass on all the information. In fact, this problem is occurring because of the migration from a VM with Oracle SunOS to another VM with Oracle Linux 7. This old VM is for production and runs the CACH? database, so we decided to create a new VM and migrate everything to it. We have already migrated the database and users without problems. Only on each machine of these

PNG and Alpha-Transparency
Is there a prototype / extension which will assist in cross-browser support of PNG images? http://www.alistapart.com/articles/pngopacity/ It seems to me that a class could be developed which would zip through the DOM and make changes where needed for IE 5.5 / IE 6.0 to handle PNG images. I don''t want to write one if it''s been done before. Sam

SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
So that it doesn't end without a conclusion I will inform you what has been accomplished. As our time was short to complete the migration I decided to install the same version of SAMBA that was already running on the old machine (3.6.6). After the migration is complete, I will have more time to update the SAMBA and insert it into our AD domain, thus changing the entire login and mapping
