How can $VARIABLES be used inside smbclient -c'xyz' command strings?
Hi,
being a total newbie in shellscripting and similar stuff, I
am suffering from a brain freeze around the following problem:
* I need to print (or transfer otherwise) to a WinNT box;
* the files are send from inside a shellscript;
* the script gets the filename on the commandline when started;
* so the only knows it works on "$1";
* the problem is, that the original filename needs to

Xen & Transmeta (from xen-users)
All-
With suggestions from Ian and previous posts on this list, I''ve been
investigating why Xen causes a Transmeta-based system to reboot immediately..
I''ve added instrumentation to xen/arch/x86/boot/x86_32.S (a
collection of ''.asciz "foo"'' statements) hoping to locate a point of
failure.. and it dies sometime before this code is run..
At what point does Xen take over from...

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Do not generate nopl instruction on CPUs that don't support it.
...so optimize padding on these CPUs - instead of a
stream of 0x90 nops, you should generate variants of "lea (%esi), %esi"
instruction like gcc.
This patch disables generation of nopl instructions on the following CPUs:
i686 - there are i686-class CPUs that don't have nopl: Via c3, Transmeta
Crusoe, Microsoft VirtualBox - see
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=775414
k6, k6-2, k6-3, winchip-c6, winchip2 - these are 586-class CPUs
via c3 c3-2 - see https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/19733 as a proof that
Via c3 and c3-Nehemiah don't have nopl

...en (mini-ITX/EPIA) system, but the
loss of FPU power would limit performance. The obvious choice for FPU
work are the Intels and AMDs, nut they're all power-hungry radiators.
Is there something that can offer the quiet, power-savings of the EPIA,
but some sort of respectable math capabilities? Transmeta was into that
game, but I'm not sure if that's any help.
This might work:

How about AMD's Geode. Anyone have any experiences?

2.6.31.6 pv_ops can''t boot pv_ops DomU kernel
Hello,
i''ve a xen-4.0.0-rc1 with 2.6.31.6 pv_ops.
Dom0 seams to work fine.
But i can only boot "old" domU kernel.
A pv_ops Kernel hangs after initrd.

To speak truly, I'd rather play in a good old PSX than in an emulator. Bleem!

bochs or qemu & gdb
HPA,
now that syslinux release madness has calmed down,
could you provide some info on how we syslinux-minions/wannabes
can use bochs and/or qemu to run (sys|pxe|iso|ext)linux
in an emulated environment thats more conducive to
debugging, single-stepping, and ultimately understanding
how the magic happens ?
