how to return a transfered call to the transferrer?
Hi all
Any of you guys could point me in the right direction?
I need to make that a blind transfer to return to the transferrer when the transferee does not answer.
Scenario:
. Miss Jane Doe, our front desk attendant, picks up an external call to
Mr. Smith;
. Miss Doe flashes, dial Mr. Smith's extension and then hangup;
. Mr Smith's phone rings until timeout;
. At this point, how

Attended Transfer with REFER
Hi guys,
I am wondering (and have been unable to find out thus far) whether Asterisk
sets some special channel variables or something when a call is transfered
with the REFER method.
Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to somehow get a
transferred call back to the transferrer (as it is done with the built-in
atxfer) after X seconds (or an unsuccessful attempt).
Using a

Cancel attended transfer
Hi folks,
I have a simple question regarding attended transfers. I have some
queues where agents take calls and I have configured attended transfers
between queues. That is, the agent dials the attended transfer extension
that routes it to the aproppiate transfer queue where the second agent
answers and they both talk for a while. Finally the transferrer leaves
the call with *, connecting

Samba fileserver limited to 50 MB/s on gbit
Hello,
I am running a fileserver with smbd here.
The server is a 64bit 2.8 GHz Celeron D with 2GB RAM, running 64bit Debian,
Samba version 3.0.23c.
It is running as a pure fileserver so its only CPU load is serving files.
The client I am doing the tests from is WinXP Pro SP2.
It is connected via Intel e1000 gbit ethernet (both the server and client
use e1000 chipsets).
I have done a raw tcp

transfers only work when voicemail enabled
Hi all,
when enabling blind and attended transfers in features.conf, these only seem
to work when I enable voicemail for a particular user. How can this be? Can I
have transferrring without voicemail?
Using Asterisk 1.4 by the way.
Thank you!

-H option causes unneccessary transfers
Greetings,
when the daily system backup with rsync is performed, thousands of files (e.g. from /usr directory),
which are not modified are uselessly transferrred to the backup storage every day.
The rsync command is the following:
rsync --update -DHAErlptgo --relative --atimes --delete-during ${SRCPATH} ${BACKUPDIR}
Quick investigation shown, that these files are hard links, and the command

Moving linux server with rsync
Jw,
Thank you so much for your reply. The commandline:
rsync -avH --rsh=/usr/bin/ssh /www/kunder/web/ MYHOST:/www/kunder/web
Solved all of my problems, and I'm now much closer to completing a servermove. I however have one last question.
When enetring the above command, I'm asked to type the SSH password to start the transferr. Is there any way to include
this in the above mentioned

chgrp problem
I'm using a comand like
rsync -av directory /media/usbdisk/
to backup to a usb device (on a Fedora 5 machine). I'm getting 100s of messages like
rsync: chgrp "/media/usbdisk/file" failed: Operation not permitted (1)
and then at the end
rsync error: some files could not be transferred.
How do I fix this? Why is rsync trying to change the group? And is the message at

Source files in use or modified while transfer
Hi!
I have a question on rsync's way to deal with files in use
or files that are modified on the source while they
are transferrred to the destination.
Yes, I searched the web and found

Rsync problem / Special characters
Hi,
I have not esatblished a working rsync config on my server, but have found
one major problem in which i hope there is a solution to.
I'm based in Norway, with scandinavian clients. Of course we use several
"special characters" in our keymap, which is not supported in US keyboards
etc.
I know there is a better word for this, unfortunatly i can't remeber it, so
i hope you

Extremly slow (3-4k/s) on Win clients while Linux clients work fine
Hi,
I've migrated a Win2k fileserver to Samba 3.0.33 on Gentoo (Kernel 2.6.28).
While the Linux clients work fine, I get the absolutely worst transferrates on
Win (XP Prof + Vista) like 3-4k/s (compared to ~10MB/s on Linux).
When copying larger files on Windows, they start this slow, but the transfer
becomes faster after some time like 2Mbit/s via WLAN which would be
acceptable.
I've

How to tell if there is a transfer from CDR?
Is there any way to know if a call was transferred from reading the
CDR? Any relation in fields like UNIQUEID? Something that can be
scripted to make a special report?

Note: I don't know if this is a problem withe I20 drivers or Rsync so
I'm submitting to both the Kernel Bugzilla and the Rsync mailing list. I
couldn't find a bugzilla for Rsync. I hope this was the correct way to
submit this issue.

CDR of calls transferred via IAX[2]
Let's say i have a network of * boxes connected via IAX, one of them is a
"switch", one or more are the "gateways".
- An IAX[2] "customer" register himself on the "switch" (and gets an
accountcode for te purpose of cdr)
- The customer places a call to the "switch", the switch does some magic and
decides which "gateway" the call

Help needed - Zap Transfer Failing...
Hi.
I have the following line in the default context of all my internal
extensions:
exten => 9876,1,Transfer(125)
When I dial extension 9876 from any sip phone, * dutifully transferrs it to
extension 125, which is just what I want.
Unfortunately when I dial 9786 from my Zap connected analogue phone, the
transfer doesn't go through and the dialplan drops through to a hangup.

Best way to know a call is being transfered
Hello
using Asterisk 1.8.32.3.
What is the best way of knowing a call is being transfered (attended and
unattended) ? And also knowing whereto (sip user) the call is being
transfered and who is the transferer ?
So I can log this information.
Kind regards.

Very slow samba file transfer speed... any ideas ?
Hi,
I have btrfs volume, shared via samba.
I have a directory of documents that I want to backup on my server.
win7 reports a maximum of ~3.10MB/s transfer
transferring the same directory on a ext4 samba share I get 25MB/s +
Any ideas?
Is it like that because of how btrfs works and is setup?
Thanks,
