Compile problem and fix
Hi
I use openssh-2.3.0p1 on Solaris-7, KTH-krb4-1.0.3, TransArc-AFS-3.6
# ../openssh-2.3.0p1/configure --prefix=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/openssh-2.3.0p1 --with-kerberos4=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/krb4-1.0.3 --with-afs --with-ssl-dir=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/openssl-0.9.6
To make it compile, I have to add the patch below to make
sshconnect1.c line 546 compile. It states:

[Bug 326] New: Bug in AFS token forwarding
...ne.
I can reproduce this problem on Red Hat Linux 7.2 systems with
OpenSSH-3.4p1 (and probably all older versions) compiled with
KTH-Krb4-1.1.1 (this is where the k_pioctl() function comes from; see
below). I am using OpenAFS-1.2.5. The same happens on Solaris 8
(OpenSSH-3.4p1, KTH-Krb4-1.1.1, IBM/Transarc ASF).
Here is the cause for the bug:
The problem is that k_pioctl() returns -1 and "errno" returns an error
code ENOTCONN for _all_ tokens it finds if there is an expired token present.
The loop has to continue in this case although the _data_ returned
by k_pioctl() is invalid. This inva...

R-beta: R on AIX running with errors
Hi,
I am doing a project to make R-0.61.1 available on 30 IBM RISC/6000
machines running AIX 4.1.5.0. Running the make command works fine after
some changes, but R does not behave as it should.
Here some examples of error messages which I get:
> plot(1:20)
Error: Length cannot be negative
> hist(1:20)
Error in seq(z$l, z$u, length = z$n + 1) : negative length vectors are not
allowed

3.0.2 AFS login problem, Solaris 2.5.1
I've been beating myself senseless trying to build OpenSsh 3.0.1 on Solaris
2.5.1 and get AFS login working.
The symptoms of the problem are: sshd builds (used --with-afs and
-with-kerberos4 - there is no PAM on this box), accepts connections from
non-AFS users, but does not accept a connection from an AFS user; the user
sees "permission denied" after entering the password.

Hm. MS Knowledgebase says that it is for Win95 only. I'll try it anyway.
Thanks for the tip!

AFS is a distributed file system made by IBM. (see www.openafs.org and
transarc.ibm.com)
