Library (Ferret) Trampling Namespace
Greetings. Apologies if I missed something like this in the archives or internet, but I''m having namespace issues using Ferret with Rails, but this looks to be an issue with any library and Rails. Specifically, I have a model class "Weight" in my application and Ferret also has a class "Weight" in it (Ferret::Search::Weight). My app runs perfectly fine until it first

Ferret Trampling Namespace
Greetings. Apologies if I missed something like this in the archives or internet, but I''m having issues using Ferret with Rails. Specifically, I have a class class "Weight" in my application (it happens to be a model). My app runs perfectly fine until it first executes "require ''ferret''". At that point, my definition of the class "Weight"

Triggering script from cron or web client
...L, and injects it into a MySQL DB for display in a LAMP-based app. (Make and Perl are also involved to minimize the number of tables touched and to clean up the SQL generated by Pxlib.) I'd like to add the ability to refresh the data immediately from the web app, but I don't want it to trample on the periodic script and corrupt the data. I figure the ideal way to do this is to run the script in a loop in its own process, waiting on a semaphore that times out at the refresh period, and poke the semaphore from the web app to have it run before the next periodic cycle. Are there exist...

Let? Run? Trample? It's not a question of let, just that Arc got interested in developing these formats. Anyone else, previously involved with Xiph or no is also welcome to do so. Are you suggesting we ban Arc from the lists for not respecting his betters? Otherwise I think your complaints are reasonable. My...

Temp fix for users getting smb_trans2: invalid data in messages log file
...e from you linux client to a linux server. --> When you try to make modifications or copy file from your client to the server, it takes a long time or times-out. --> Your /var/log/mesages file states smb_trans2: invalid data , disp=0, cnt=0, tot=0, ofs=0 It seems that some CIFS code got trampled on during a smb kernel patch. I believe this will be fixed in the 2.6.10 kernel (pretty soon I hope). For now, you can add the following entry to your smb.conf file: "unix extensions = no" This temp solution was posted to the samba listserver last month, but I thought I would post...

I'm having trouble visualizing that situation. Is there a "main" context that will handle all this saving and restoring of stacks? If so, does it actually share stacks with other contexts in the way they...

...ry well- great job! I realize the echo cancellation element may still be in development, but I am having trouble getting that part of the preprocessor to work. When I don't pass NULL into the speex_preprocess for the echo parameter, things seem to go haywire- some memory appears to be getting trampled somewhere (this is probably my fault). Maybe I am misunderstanding the purpose of this parameter? Except for the first few packets, the preprocessor appears to be removing all audio- The algorithm I am using passes in a recently decoded frame... Any ideas? Do I need to set some settings in som...

How to use macro variable in a text string
I want to use read.table to input many files, each for a different year. I would like to use the macro variable 't' to refer to the exact file that I would like to input the data using read.table. How could I do this? Thank you! for (t in 1970:2005) { edge <- read.table(file="edge_t.csv", header=T, sep=",") ## I will have many rows of code following the

Redundant Database, Pgsql ?
...t; the directory type solutions are not suitable for (how many table joins, or other extensive SQL actions are taking place on that DB) then LDAP is the better way to go, and extending LDAP with custom schemas is simple - just grab an IANA number for you, or your organisation, so that you don't trample on any other schema out there. I have a custom schema that I use for postfix/dovecot - it's simple, quick, and efficient without the DB overhead ... and I get the multi-master replication in OpenLDAP. - -- Nikolai Lusan Email: nikolai at lusan.id.au -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCgAd...

Hello, I am running a dovecot and proxy server on two different virtual machines and on the dovecot proxy server I see around 5-6 times per day the following warning: Feb 03 16:15:12 auth: Warning: proxy(email at domain.com,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,<ABC123456789>): DNS lookup for mailboxserver.domain.com took 1.550 s I do not really understand how from time to time DNS queries are slow, I tried

History happens in hiccups, step-function-like sudden increases in pressure, which are then followed by attenuated periodic function. This is one of them. More importantly, history tramples on people *every* time. Just different events trample on different people. There's no way to avoid this. > Somewhat recently a code of conduct was adopted. [PATCH 0 of 3] RFC Paging support for AMD NPT V2
There has been some progress, but still no joy. Definitely not intended for inclusion at this point. Tim, Wei, I added a Xen command line toggle to disable IOMMU and P2M table sharing. Tim, I verified that changes to p2m-pt.c don''t break shadow mode (64bit hypervisor and Win 7 guest). Hongkaixing, I incorporated your suggestion in patch 2, so I should add your Signed-off-by eventually.

HTTP 1.1 parser and non-standard request methods
hi, i was thinking of creating a WebDAV plugin for mongrel, but ran into an issue... the http parser hardcodes which request methods it considers valid, so it blocks non-standard request methods like MKCOL, PROPFIND, etc. i''m not familiar with the type of grammar being used for the parser, but is it possible to defer the request method validation to a later point, possibly inside the
