Problems with booting Debian DomU
I''m running Xen 3.2 on Debian 5.0 (Lenny) and am having trouble booting up a Debian Etch DomU. It hangs at the end when it says "Starting periodic command scheduler: cron."
It''s just completely frozen. At one point I set it sit for a few hours and got back into the console and it said something about "time went backwards" but I used the

Motherboard capable of VT-d
Hi!
I''ve got a motherboard (Gigabyte GA-G33-DS3R) where the Ethernet port has
been broken.
I''ll buy a new motherboard, but wants to keep all my other equipment (CPU,
Memory, TV-cards etc).
The requirements/wishes on the new motherboard are 2 Ethernet ports and 2
PCI slots. It would also be good if it would support VT-d.
I''ve found two boards that would fulfill my

how to enable VT
Hi,
I have a Dell opt 755 machine and installed Xen 3.3.1. The CPU is core
2 due E6550, which as the vmx flag. However, when I reboot the machine
to xen 3.3.1. I can not find vmx in the /proc/cpuinfo. But vms appears
in the kernel 2.6.29 (not xen kernel).
Can anyone help on how to enable vt in this machine?
Thanks.

Trouble enabling VT-D: "I/O virtualisation disabled"
I have a chipset which supports VT-d (Intel X58) and, according to my
motherboard manufacturers, VT-d is enabled in the BIOS and listed as "Intel

get this error message when I try to create a domU with a pci device

Successful PCIe Graphics VT-d Passthrough to Win32 DomU, Q35 chipset
I am happy to announce that I have successfully (and finally!) been able
to pass a PCIe graphics card via VT-d to a Windows XP HVM DomU.
About time!
Config:
-Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad-Core, G0 stepping (I think)
-Intel DQ35JO Motherboard, Q35 Chipset, BIOS v.991 (1/9/09), VT and VT-d
enabled
-nVidia 9500GT (for VT-d passthrough - DomU)
