Winbind/RH7.1...More Help
...domain
users/groups
What should be the next step? my clients (Win2K & Win9x) are still
prompting for a password and I cannot login to my linux box using
DOMAIN*domainuser.
Must I add each domain user as a user on the linux box?

It works on Redhat 7.1 against my NT4 server, you should have something
that looks like this for the nsswitch module:
$ ls -l /lib/libnss_winbind*...

Switching to user mode from domU kernel
...therwise:
* Restore RAX, R11, RCX, CS:RIP, RFLAGS, SS:RSP.
I am passing flags==0 and only push the values for flags, CS:RIP,
RFLAGS, and SS:RSP. If I push values for RAX, R11, and RCX on the
stack the kernel ends up in all sorts of weird places rather than
my intended RIP and RSP.
Thanks!

above I had to disable my kernel''s trap table to let Xen handle it.
Otherwise the fault address is in my handler rather than in the

Any suggestions on things to try?
Thanks!

rsync taking a while on really large files
Can anyone suggest a good way to speed up rsync on really large files? In
particular, when I rsync the mail spool directory, I have a few users with
inboxes over 1GB and up and it seems to take a very long time to just
compare the files. Maybe it would be faster to copy from scratch for files
over a certain size or something if the time stamps don't match.

Winbind/RH7.1...Help
Hi All:
I followed all the instructions for activating winbind and it went thru
but my getent etc are only showing users on the linux box. The only
thing i'm not sure if i did correctly was to create the symbolic link
for libnss_winbind.so.2
Anyone got winbind working on RH7.1?
Thanx

'net use' fails within a logon script on win95b
I have noticed a very strange problem on a base Windows 95b computer.
On a clean win95b computer with no additional software, the drive
mappings in the logon scripts fail. The logon script uses 'net use' to
connect the client to a share on the samba server. The server is
running RH7.1 and Samba 2.2.2. The samba server is setup as a domain
appliance and uses winbind, passing
